Once you go chinook, You will be HOOKED!
There are things I enjoy in life and things I absolutely love and make them apart of my daily routine and having a bag of these sunflower seeds is something I look forward to. When I was younger I only had Frito Lay sunflower seeds. I’ve tried so many brands like David, Smackin, Bigs, & even generic ones. Needless to Say as soon as I had Chinook Seeds I instantly noticed the difference in taste and quality. The seeds are consistently big and is dramatically the perfect balance of Salt and Sweetness. When I eat other brands I’m immediately hit with tons of salt which will take a toll on you if you eat sunflower seeds your whole life like I do. I would ditch those and try chinook. I’m so glad someone cared enough to make better seeds. For this I’m thankful and will continue to spend Thousands until I can’t eat sunflower seeds anymore.

Please try these!
Dill Pickle is my favorite. I really like these because they are full of flavor without massive amounts of sodium or msg. I like that they come in single serve packets. I’ve noticed with other big brand sunflower seeds, you get a really awful tasting seed or the seeds are super tiny. This did not happen with this brand. You can tell they value the product that they are selling.

Great seeds, flavor you can eat all day
I’m on a ball field 40 weekends a year, 20+ hours a weekend, so I think I know about seeds. First thing is you really can eat these all day without getting a sore cheek and tongue. I really think the seeds are great. They certainly are as big or bigger than your favorite seeds. Glad I tried these as there are some flavors I’ll be adding to my permanent rotation. I didn’t really care for all the flavors, but by far the most unique flavor to me was the cinnamon toast. Here is my ranking from best to not for me.Cinnamon toast - absolutely gotta have itLemon pepper - that’s niceJalapeño ranch - subtle but goodDill pickle - different than BigsSmokehouse bbq - unique flavorOriginal - way better than David’sHatch chile - hoped these would be betterParmesan & pepper - not for me

Nothing but lies and
Changed my 2 to a 1.. there was stuff all over the other bags when i opened the box and i figured it was shipping dust.. NOPE! 1 bag already had a hole in it and covered everything. The bags tear very poorly, barely any seasoning at all, "best seeds ever" is a very bold and wrong statement.. not one flavor sticks out as "this is the one!". Half the seeds in a handful are just shells, tastes like very bland people made this product. "Small batch sunflower seeds" needs to be "no batch sunflower seed". Hire someone with tastes buds and isn't afraid to say "these suck", because they suck... you can't tell me the person shipping didn't feel stuff coming out of the bag when stuffed in the box...

Flavor and Seeds are Good…but…
Seeds are amazing. Yes some small but plenty of big ones too. Not stale at all and packed with flavor! Yes some flavor dust sits on the bottom, but I had a bag in my car always, open for a day or two, and the flavor didn’t die off nor did the freshness. The value is good compared to David’s especially with the unique flavor. Worth it compared to other small batch seed company. I will say; there is ONE issue that isn’t that bad for me, but could be major for others. My first bag I saw a huge sunflower stem. Thought nothing of it, small batch means less machines and less ways to get rid of all the “waste” of the process. This would’ve been fine, but now 10 bags in, and I’ve had some part of the sunflower 7/10 times. Some small like pictured, some rather big. This is sad as I love the flavor and everything, but it just ruins the texture when you throw a ton of seeds in your mouth and bite a stem…my suggestion is be cautious and only put a few at a time. Then slowly chew. You’ll catch them no problem, but if you plan to give to children for any reason, you may want to police the seeds first.

Love the seeds but was sent the wrong item.
Ordered the variety pack and was only sent original flavor.Edit: Received a response from the company offering to help make up for the wrong order.

Subtle Flavors, Strange Aftertaste
I bought these seeds because they seemed like a cheaper alternative to Smackin' brand seeds with similar flavors. These seeds are big, roasted well, and I have been through many bags with just a few bad/rotten seeds and they weren't putrid and disgusting as bad seeds usually are. So any reduction in that "bad seed" experience is greatly appreciated. I also appreciate the lower sodium with regards to how it doesn't leave the inside of my mouth tingly and raw like with more popular brands (David, BIGS, etc.).However, with lack of sodium comes lack of flavor. It's the nature of the beast. I also found that these flavors just weren't very potent. Original is underwhelming, Jalapeno Ranch and Hatch Chile were barely discernable between the two (and both didn't have much flavor), and the Smokehouse BBQ was actually not very good tasting in and of itself. Parmesan & pepper has a very distinct flavor, though the pepper is more harsh and discernable than the parmesan, but I did really like this flavor. I can say the same for Cinnamon Toast. Very odd, but very enjoyable. I've yet to try Dill Pickle or Lemon Pepper.Flavor opinions aside, these seeds have had a very odd, almost chemical, aftertaste. It's not so much left in your mouth as it is on the back end of the initial flavor. It's hard to explain, but it isn't pleasant, though I have noticed it significantly less on the cinnamon toast and parmesan & pepper flavors.Overall, I'd eat the flavors I've like again, but I would stay away from the others. I think anyone looking into these should start with the smallest variety pack and branch out from there. The cost/ounce is higher that way, but you won't be left with a bunch of bags of seeds you don't want to eat. I highly recommend the cinnamon toast flavor followed closely by the parmesan and pepper.
