Finicky to adjust and It leaks
I have had the PuckPuck for several months, and it has started leaking at the "adjustment joint" between the upper and lower half of the device, making it unusable. Also, it has always been very finicky to adjust the drip rate. After finally getting the suggested 50 drips/minute, and rechecking 5 minutes later, the drip rate will have changed, requiring several readjustments. I'm going back to making cold brew in my French press. The only advantage the PuckPuck really had was the filtration that the Aeropress filter provided. Unfortunately, PuckPuck does not provide any way to contact them on their website.

Great way to enjoy cold drip coffee!
I've been making cold brew coffee for a while now, but this is the first time I've tried the cold drip method. There is a slight learning curve to.using the puck puck, but not too bad. My first attempt, I used the coarse grind coffee I use with my Toddy, and ended up with brown tinted water. I ground that down to a medium grind and got much better results. It's a bit tricky to see the drip rate through the tinted Aeropress, but with a light behind it, its OK. It needs a bit of babysitting to maintain the right drip rate, as I've found it slows after a while. I'm on my 4th batch now, and what I did is to mark the water vessel at 100 ml increments, so I'll just check that every 1/2 hour, which should give me a fair indication of how it's goingMy previous batch, I noticed part way through that the splash puck was slanted (my fault), so I'm sure I didnt get an even flow through the coffee. I'll have to double check that before starting from now on.Ive gotten a couple good catches so far, and the coffee is good! I'm enjoying an iced latte now, and I used a 1:1 coffee/milk ratio. I may go a bit heavier on the coffee next time, but for now, this is fine. There are a lit of variables to tinker with here, and I'm sure I'll soon have the process down to give me a consistently great coffee. It's a well designed product, and though it takes a bit to get the hang of, it's an inexpensive way to enjoy a cold drip cold brew.

It leaks badly.
I have owned a puckpuck for about five years. I have yet to get a single cup of coffee out of it.I bought the version without a water chamber. The instructions clearly list the brands of water bottles that can be used. Not one bottle fits. Evian is the closest, but the threading on the bottle is smaller than the puckpuck. So it ends up just leaking all over the kitchen. The end result is that I have a $26 piece of trash. I feel cheated. If you buy this, she'll out the extra $21 for the water chamber.

just a grift
bought this thing without the 1/2 bottle attachment and 2 summers later can only say, if youre going to fork over $45 for the deluxe (still plastic) package, you deserve all the headaches ive had every time i use it. i think ive finally learned my lesson. you can take over the fruitless searching the internet for solutions to this specific instance of channeling. at all grind sizes. go ahead.

it works
takes a little patience to get the drip rate correct, but they have an app that lets you dial it in. but once you get a feel for it, it works great
