ITIL V3 Exam Prep Questions, Answers, & Explanations: 800+ ITIL Foundation Questions with Detailed Solutions

Great book for preparing for the exam. This book helped me narrow down my understanding of the material and the best practices of ITIL. Once I sat for the exam I felt very confident in the seat. I used 3 books to prepare for the exam: this one, Sybex Exam Study Guide and ITIL Complete Kit 4th ed. Each book played an equal importance in my success. In the exam I was quickly able to eliminate the trick or distracting questions and narrow down to the "Best" answer. I can't say "one book" is all you need but this study guide helped in my efforts in getting a full understanding of the material. I'm happy to say Thank You!

Pro: Great coverage of topics of roles, functions, concepts, and ITIL life-cycle. By taking 620+ questions, you realize what "must-to-remember" and "good-to-remember" items for your exam. Toward the end of chapters, the further detailed answers and explanations are described, and, in my opinion, these brief wrap-ups helped me organizing my memory.Con: there is a couple of mis-print and typo in questions and answer options. For the first half of answer explanation is a little too simple. Some concepts and terms are too detailed and way beyond ITIL v3. Fundation exam coverage. Yet, they are still helpful to understand the concept (you don't have to remember them all).Summary: As the title describes, I did pass ITIL v3 Foundation exam the first time at the score of 77.5%. (Well, not super, but consider the fact that I am a foreigner and English as the second language). Took on-line course at work over the 30-day period and studied with this book less than a week! If you have basic concepts and knowledge of ITIL v3., this book would help you organizing your memory and understanding!!!

I just took and Aced the ITIL V3 Foundation Exam - Yay - so I quess I should know.I used this book in conjuction with other sources, for instance Skillsoft and the OGC Book on Passing the Foundation Exam. I found this book to have questions that were completely inappropriate for the Foundation Exam - for instance many of the questions I could not answer by referencing the OGC book at all - for instance Mintzbergs 4Ps of Service Strategy (is part of ITIL but) is not in Foundation but the 4Ps of Service Design are part of Foundation. Lots of typo's and inadequate explanations that merely reference the Syllabus are completely inadequate to fully explain many of the questions.I was happy to have something to work with - but this book is completely overkill for the foundation and some of the exams and just out and out inappropriate or poorly assembled....this led to me actually questioning my skills since other tests showed great result from other sources like the OGC book and this one showed results - some high and some low....there was only one way to see who was right - sit the exam and find out. I was confident and scored 87% but this book served more to undermine my confidence than anything else !So be careful not to take this book so seriously....Good luck.

I just passed my ITIL v3 cert using this practice exam book in conjunction with some other materials from a class offered at work several months ago. This book was extremely helpful because the questions seemed harder than the actual exam itself. The questions were more scenario-based which involved a lot more thought process and helped drive important topics into my head. I highly recommend this book.

I agree with other comments that the test questions in this book are nothing like the real test. The questions in this book are scenario based and the real test is 100% not scenario based. The real test is designed to trick you with multiple answers with just one word different in each to throw you off. Its not so much a test of your knowledge as a test in your ability to get passed the tricks. I would not buy this book. I have no other recommendations as I also took a class and they handed out 300 test questions that looked nothing like what was on the real test. My instructor looked at this book and stated it was more designed for the advanced tests which concentrate on an area like service strategy or design. I do not recommend this book.

I used this book as a supplement to ITIL V3 Foundation Complete Certification Kit - Study Guide Book and Online Course . This book did help me receive my ITIL V3. Foundations certification however, I found the editing to be horrendous.On the positive side, there were many questions on each area. Few questions were repeated. I found the reference in the answers to be accurate and helpful if I needed additional clarification on the answer.On the negative side, it appears that whoever was supposed to proof read this book fell down on the job. For example, instead of quotes for literal references " and quot& were used. Instead of a sentence reading The "Service Manager" is responsible...., it read The "eService Managerquot& is responsible.... This made some questions very difficult to read. Also quite a few answers were lettered B,C,D and E instead of A,B,C and D. Consequently when reviewing answers to those questions, and the answer was "D", I wasn't sure if that meant literally "D" or the fourth value which was "E".Overall, the book was helpful but my recommendation is to find another book that has better editing.

I took the classes studied the materal then failed the first three tests in this book. The explanatons really helped me understand the applicaton of the material and helped me score a 87 on the exam. Thanks

I found this book very useful as a 'revision' tool. It has 15 FULL examination papers and many questions on specific subject matter areas. The answers/explanations are given for all questions (you do not have to go through the text books to find answers).

Having decided to get ITIL certification using a limited amount of money and time I invested in this book to check my knowledge. I have done also quite some tests in internet BUT this book was the real help. I strongly recommend it if you want to pass the itil foundation exam. By the way, I used the Kindle version and was very handy
