This bulb is very bright and was exactly what I needed. It's in use on a covered but open porch. It's lasted a few months so far.

I've replaced most of my closet lights with this sensor light. Depending on the angle from the light to the bottom of the wall above the door, it may be necessary to simply reach in to ture on the light. My bedroom closets are like this. My hall closet only requires opening the door. Extremely bright, and doesn't stay on long after closing the door. Even used it in the laundry room but haven't done laundry yet to see how well it stays on,

Put this light in my garage hoping it would turn on when I open the door to the garage. I have to do jumping jacks right under the light to get it to trigger. Definitely returning.

The motion sensor is very good. As soon as you’re nearly area the light will turn on. The brightness is great. I installed it in my garage and it lights up almost all of the garage. The only negative is that I wish it had an option to leave it on if you’re not moving around. A lot of times I could be working inA sitting position at my workbench and since I am not moving the light will turn off. I just have to wave my hand and it’ll go back on again.

Lights up dark corners in a basement for small children who can't reach the pull chain on the bulb. (Or who pull too hard and disconnect it). Likewise, saves electricity when it goes off after several minutes of inactivity. However, if there is light coming through a window near the bulb, it won't turn on, even if the room is dim. (Less 1 star in "Accuracy"). Otherwise, a simple solution for lighting up dark, scary corners of a basement.

Works well. Wife loves it and the walk in closet light does not stay on forever.

I installed this in the ceiling fixture above the washer/dryer in the basement. The light is nice and bright and extends to light up a sufficient area…when it’s on. My two complaints are 1) It doesn’t turn on until I am almost underneath it, which is not soon enough and, 2) It will turn off even though I am beneath it and moving…This is a TREMENDOUS ANNOYANCE because I have to stop whatever I am working on and wave my arms dramatically to get it to turn back on so I can see to continue whatever it is I am doing (moving clothes from washer to dryer for example). It happens repeatedly the entire time I am in the basement even though I am well within range and constantly moving. I will keep it (missed 30 day return window) and put it somewhere else it makes less impact, like a small closet, but I will not purchase this again. There are others more sensitive to motion and work far better. For the price it’s a disappointment.

I have one in my walk in closet and my laundry/pantry room. They are so wonderful - both lights were pull string before and am so happy I no longer have to wave around in the dark to find the string to turn on a light in either area.

Edit: I performs just as well in low temperature (-15c) as it does in the summer time! Genuinely pleased!15-foot high garage here and this thing works as if it had been custom made just for it! Zero motion detection issues. I love how it only turns on upon detecting motion from dusk to dawn! The area it lights up is plenty and it provides an immediate clear view of its surroundings.So far so good in the summer time, I'm looking forward to see how it performs at -25c this winter.Based on my summer usage, I would highly recommend this product. A tad more expensive but so worth it!

UPDATE: I was contacted by the seller rep who sent me a new one for free. So far, it's been over a week and it is working (see original review below) but the distance to be activated is clearly smaller than the one before. QA control issues if they make the sensor. I'm upping the rating from 1 to 3 stars due to the support. Not sure about durability.ORIGINAL REVIEW :It was good, but stopped working way too soon. Installed it on June 17 and it stopped working on June 24. It was in the basement light occasional traffic (laundry, etc.). I returned it.I'm glad it stopped working within the return window. I would be mad if it didn't. It would be unfair.It was very bright. The motion detection was good, but it is limited to a distance. What I needed for my basement and garage. Too bad it wasn't made to last.
