Firstly, I did get this installed. It looks good and the various elements are well made and sturdy.My issue was with the connector. The hole in the connector is too small to feed through clasp on the bead chain. I had to pull the clasp apart to release the chain, feed it through then put the clasp back on (still a bit uncertain about whether it's back on tight enough to hold).Not a huge issue in the end, just really annoying to figure out!

Yay no more grubby unhygienic string! This is a lot smaller than I first imagined it would be but now that I've installed it, it looks gorgeous in my bathroom and works fine. It has a lovely weighted feel to it and the chrome appears to be of excellent quality.It comes supplied on a chrome ball chain and there is a small ring fixing which you can either attach directly to your existing string or as in my case I ended up buying a separate chrome cord connector for a couple of pounds more. It's not necessary to buy this but I wanted the connection where the string and ball chain to meet to be hidden and not on show. It's a bit fiddly but definitely worth it. It took me a couple of minutes to work out how to get the ball chain off the ring fixing but then suddenly it all made sense haha. A bit like one of those metal puzzle things you had when you were a kid if you are as old as me.

I have bought two of these now as they are just what I wanted.Basically its a chromes cylinder on a chromed chain. It isn't complicated but it looks good and the weight has, well, weight and fits nicely in the hand. Chroming is good and doesn't look like its going to come off anytime soon.It attaches to the light fitting via two circular eyes. This may be a problem as, being metal, I don't like the idea of it being in the fitting. So I fitted mine by tying the string from the fitting through the eyes so that the top has about 1cm showing of string. Not ideal but better than being zapped every time you pull the damn thing (if that's likely - I'm probably being over cautious as I couldn't find another way to attach it to the switch inside the light pull fitting.So, highly recommended.

Looks good, nice and heavy. It’s smaller then I thought it was going to be (don’t know why I didn’t measure up) but it’s fine the size that it is as it fits nicely in your hand.

Good looking item and the metal chain can be wiped clean (no more replacing grubby cords!). However the pull has separated from the chain on one of the pair I bought. I like it enough to order a replacement : I just hope this doesnt break too,

Very short chain, very small handle, have put it up but will be buying another one, this is just too small and not up to the job for me
