Use two for heat
Used in outside cast iron chiminea. Lights easy but not as hot as I had thought, need to use two for heat and useful burn for heat was about 30mins but did burn for much longer

Ideal for easy campfire startup, but shop around
We use these for getting a camp fire going on those cold winter nights when we can’t be bothered to mess about with kindling (there really is nothing quite so comforting in this world as a nice warm fire on a freezing night) Simple to use, lift the flap and light it each end. Within a minute the log is completely on fire and within ten you can begin adding additional wood to build the fire to the desired height. There’s no waste, you do not remove the log from the packing, the paper it’s wrapped in is doused in a mild accelerant and is part of the initial lighting process, without it the flames won’t spread to the entire log.The one negative thing about these firelogs is that they do have a bit of a smell, not so much when burning (but as we use them outdoors I can’t comment on that) but the logs themselves do have a pungent smell. I recommend sealing them in bags until use. However I would add that currently these firelogs are available at Tesco for £1.50 each. I just stocked up on four today for £6. So I would recommend shopping around and buying online as a last resort. Finally, be safe with these things. Keep a bottle of water or sand around to put it out if it gets out of hand. Other than that it’s the quality you’d expect from Zip.
