There was not much instruction in English on the packaging. What was in English I followed. The insufficient English directions may have caused a ‘user error.’ I am not sure.Notice the black plastic part that holds the brush hair. It is not far enough in.When I capped the brush pen, it damaged (split) the bristles of the brush.What I needed was better instruction.I’m not sure if this problem was a mistake I made or if the pen has a defect, but I think it was most likely my mistake as this is the first time purchasing this kind of brush pen from Kuretake.The brush pen I have been using for a while by them is excellent, but it works differently, with smaller cartridges.I like Kuretake products very much, so I give five stars. Anything Kuretake that I have purchased I have liked.I think this is likely a very good brush pen.I will have to return this one. I probably damaged this in ignorance of the initial setup.Also, to note, I did use Google Translate to try and translate the Japanese instructions, but unfortunately the writing is so small that the translator camera was not able to read all of it.I will contact Amazon now.Next time I will look for an instruction video on YouTube before attempting to set up the pen.

Really enjoy using this pen. It’s quite opaque and fun to use with water (spray bottle or paint brush). Line width variation is nice, too.

I use this kind of pen all the time. Great line quality!

The tip of the brush is pretty tight, but the brush is fat. Hopefully it stays like that
