Platinum Pets 4mm Coated Chain Dog Leash with Leather Handle, Bubblegum Pink

I was actually looking for a purple wallet chain,but this leash was the best I could find. With some bolt cutters was able to cut it down to size and was long enough to make two chains. Very sturdy, very pretty, works perfectly!

This leash was a great addition to a kink look that I built while dressing up one day. It has served well in several scenes, too. The weight of it is nice and it fits many collars :)

After 2 broken leash, I decided to go with the metal.After months of usage, it shows no sign of weakening.Only complain I have is the grip. The leather strap handle you see in the picture is not really a handle. It is too thin to be used as a handle and I'm 100% sure that my 90lbs malamute will break free with just one oomph.So I grab on to the metal ring part of the leash while I put this strap on my wrist for just in case.It is somewhat uncomfortable to grab on the metal part and even hurts when my dog pulls, but I got used to it.Suggestion : use with a metal collar.

I have a 35-40 lb mixed breed dog. I was buying him these really nice Kong Control Grip Leashes that have a rubber grip on them. Those are my favorite. The rubber grip is a really nice touch and helps a lot. The problem is that when I left my dog alone long enough he was chewing through them! I tried spraying them with  Grannick's Bitter Apple for Dogs Spray Bottle, 16 Ounces . I don't know if it wears off but he would eventually chew off the leash again. I bought three of them ($25+/each) before I decided I couldn't afford to paying $25 every month for leashes.I really liked the matching Kong collar (it was a teal blue/black) and if I couldn't have the leash, then I wanted something that would at least match the collar. I did some searching and found these and I thought "try chewing through metal, you little scoundrel" and ordered the carribean teal. I got the 3mm because I didn't want a heavy leash.It has worked beautifully. He hasn't been able to chew through this! The blue is kind of a metallic teal and is a tad bit greener than the blue on his collar but you can't tell from a distance. I ended up slipping out the rubber grip from the Kong leashes and pushing this chain leash through the slits of the grip so now I have the kong rubber grip on this leash so the metal doesn't bother me at all. It does slip a little if my dog pulls too hard, I guess there is less friction with metal than fabric but over all it seems to work pretty well.I've gotten a lot of compliments on it and some people have asked me where I got it. I am very happy with my retrofitted solution.

The chain on this leash is perfect for my large dogs but the leather handle leaves you feeling cheated. It's thin and feels like it will break in your hands so I have purchased double stitched leather to attach to the chain. Chain color is great and has held up thus far.

Unfortunately when u got my item it was chipped all over and I use these for resale for my business ivmake items from the chain but it's just not usable with all the chips and also was not the length I ordered do don't have the handle and was 24" now this may have been a manufacturer errror but I'll take the loss on this one and not order again this was a total disappointment and not worth more money to return I will be doing a video review as well on Facebook and YouTube this is awful service don't waste time or money

I live in the Caribbean. This chain is very durable in the hot and humid tropical weather. I keep the chain out in the open, to the side of my dogs' kennels when not in use, but despite all of the hot sun and rainy weather, the chain has not begun to rust because the coating of paint still completely covers the chain (certainly a good quality paint was used), and that protects the metal from water expose which would lead to rusting. On another note, all of my dogs are very aggressive hunting dogs (weighing between 65-85 lbs), and pull very hard when they spot any creature worth chasing after. So the chain can definitely stand up to constant tension and pulling, even the leather strap and the small metal pin that fastens the leather strap to the chain.

Really cute but slightly heavy. The colour is so pretty.

Not worth the purchase. it broke within 10 minutes.

low-quality material - paint went off after a week, not comfortable handle. cheap...

There were places where the black had worn off already. You get what you pay for. Satisfactory.
