Van Heusen Men's Dress Shirt Regular Fit Poplin Solid

I’ve just ordered my third batch of these VH poplin shirts.The latest batch is second or third generation.First generation was about 4 years ago and I had zero problems.Second, and maybe third gen (new tag materials anyways), the sleeves are slightly different and the sizing is inconsistent.The inconsistent sizing usually has something to do with the size of the arm holes. About 9” is what I’m most comfortable with. But, the actual size varies from 7-9”, depending on the colors of the shirts.Yes, the color of the shirt. I have to order different colors, and return the ones with arm holes less than about 8.5 inches.Shirt colors that fit me (arm hole apx. 8.5-9"): pacifico, persian blue, desert rose, magentaShirt colors that do not fit me (arm holes apx. 7-8.5"): Lavender, deap sea, leaf, persimmon.Note: several other colors available that I have not tried yet.A sizing bonus: these are one of the few shirts you can get a 16.5 inch neck, with 36/37 inch sleeves. That sleeve length is usually found in 17 + inch neck sizes.I’ve got broad “cowboy” shoulders, long arms, a 42” inch chest, weight about 195lbs., and I’m 5’11” tall. These shirts actually fit me, sorta (gah, why have small arm holes on a shirt w/gorilla arm length sizing?!).The body of the shirt is perfect, the shoulders are a good fit with the seem right at the end of my shoulder.Zero problems with buttons. Occasional small defect in threading but no functional failures. The fabric doesn’t rip and drapes well. The no wrinkle feature is true, I travel and pack a LOT!The bottom button is a smidge too high for my 5’11” frame. It lands just above my belt line and causes the shirt to pull out, separate, and expose my T-shirt or skin. But, it’s workable. An extra bottom button for taller men would be good.The length of the sides drapes a couple inches below my belt line and the tails down to my inseam.All told, I’ve worn about 10 of these shirts until they’ve worn out.I use them as work shirts in a light blue-collar job.I tend to wear each shirt 1-2 days a week, year round, and they last me 1.5-2 years.

This is a nice dress shirt. The stays are built in so they don't fall out in the laundry. I don't normally buy 100% cotton due to wrinkles but the description said the shirt doesn't wrinkle in the wash. After washing it, I did have to iron it to get the wrinkles out. We'll see if the fabric relaxes after more washes. The fit was good.

I bought this shirt for my husband to wear to a funeral. The shirt arrived and was just perfect...except for the two flaws in the fabric, on the front of the shirt near the waist. I didn't have time to exchange and no local stores had a similar shirt in his size (big & tall), so we had to have him wear it anyways. Very disappointed!

The color was lighter than I was expecting or hoping for. I got this for my Master's Commencement ceremony, and I have a yellow tie to go with it; which would've been perfect had it actually was the color described in the description which stated "forrest green." When you think of "foreest green," you think a dark green. This is more like an olive green.It'll still work, I guess. I'll admid that I'm pretty disappointed. I know that colors can be fifferent than online. But at least lable the item correctly. If it was truly forrest green, it would've at least been close to the official school colors. Olive green is not close.To be fair, other than the color not being what I felt it should've been, the shirt is high quality, and fits pretty good for not giving you very many options for sleeve length. I measured the neck, and it was 18", not 18.5". It's a little on the tight side.

I am 6ft and about 175-180lb. Tall slim and lanky with more weight around the mid section.This shirt fit me perfectly and the color is amazing !

I didn't have time to go to the local discount clothing stores for a new dress shirt and decided instead to get it from Amazon. The fit was absolutely spot on and the price was great.

Ordered (L - 16.5 - 32/33) ver nice quality shirt. Runs a little big. I'm 5'8, 190lbs, slightly overweight and normally wear a large shirt. This fits equivalent to an XL around the chest/waist.

It came wrinkled so not wrinkle free lol but otherwise bought two. One for my hubby and another for my son in-law for our Handfasting. Size was great.

Loving the colour and size overall. I would have liked the sleeves to be a bit longer so that they would look better with a suit.I like the colour and feel of the material, so I would recommend

Minor- material is heavier than l thought fit okay quality great as previous owned van heusen shirts
