Worth the watch!
So good!! Since I started watching The Walking Dead recently, Glen became my favorite from the very 1st episode. I have a habit of finding every movie an actor that I am crushing on has ever been in, so it became my mission to track down anything Steven Yeun related. This movie is AWESOME! The virus outbreak premise was tweaked a bit, as the effects were temporary rather than permanent. I loved the attack on the law firm as he tries to get justice from an unjust dismissal from his job.Lots of bloody violence, so not for the squeamish. Though if you are like me, and are a Steven Yeun/The Walking Dead fan, it seems g-rated. (Man, I am so desensitized to violence!)Bottom line, watch it!

Budget doesn't matter when you've got this kind of raw talent
The budget for this film must have been around $100,000 (just an arbitrary number, don't get mad) yet this turned out to be one of the most effective little films I've seen in a long time. Steven Yeun and Samara Weaving are just great in the lead roles and all of the supporting roles are extremely well cast. The campy tone is consistent throughout and the performances are artfully directed to be played in that key. The villains chew the scenery masterfully and the editing is lean and tight. A lot of big-name, big-budget producers and directors could learn a lot from this movie. I sure hope we see more of both Steven and Samara in the future.

From a HR Manager.....watch this film
I work as a HR manager and honestly, I loved this movie. No, I don't plan on encouraging mass violence and homicide with my staff, but the underlying theme of relieving tension/stress and following the path best for you is great. And that sometimes what is "best for the firm" isn't best for humanity or yourself. Being a horror film fan already, yeah, I liked the blood and guts of it(pun intended), however, the story is good, the characters are great and very well acted; and it was really engaging. Pretty good soundtrack as well. Worth the time and money to watch.

Fun Flick! Worth the time!
4 + 1 more star because it was ¢99. Fun, campy, and self aware action movie satirizing corporate life, possibly even cathartic if you're a 9-5 cubicle grinder. Great quality production values and acting. The chemistry between the two main protagonists is great. Like in TWD Steven Yeun does an excellent job of being a relatable everyman action hero complimented by Samara Weaving as a sarcastic badass. The pace isn't always perfect but I personally think Mayhem puts the office pandemonium premise to better use than the better known The Belko Experiment.

I now love Steven Yuen.
Derek Cho (Steven Yeun, “The Walking Dead”) is having a bad day. After being unjustly fired from his job, he discovers that the law firm’s building is under quarantine for a mysterious and dangerous virus. Chaos erupts throughout the office as the victims of the disease begin acting out their wildest impulses. The Redders as they are called go all violent and crazed and since the building is quarantined Derek and one other are out to kill the Board Members. Loved it a lot as the action is great and the fights are scary and the story is fun too. Steven Yuen has become one of my favorite actors now and I want much more of him.

A true gem for any horror fan!
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this movie! I think that I was expecting some kind of 28 days later-esque romp through an office building ( which didn't really appeal to me as a zombie purist) , but what this film delivered was fresh while still pulling from traditional horror elements and adding its own twist of dark humor that I personally found very satisfying. It follows a video game like structure as we see our man progress through a building of infected lawyers, who act out their id's with zero filters like a bunch of serial killers on crack who also happen to be from the Mad Max universe. Mayhem ensues (duh), as the incredibly sexy Steven Yuen takes advantage of his current lack of inhibitions to finally move up in the firm, fighting through the dog eat dog insanity, becoming the badass he was always meant to be. Brilliant, entertaining, gory, and fun. FIN

Dark comedy about the corporate world
Derek (Steven Yeun) gets screwed at his corporate legal firm. He’s about to be fired when the Red Eye Virus hits his building and it gets quarantined. The virus ends people’s inhibitions. With no fear he decides to work his way up to the top floor and confront the board of directors about his case. The film is a dark comedy about the corporate world. The film presents plenty of stereotypes about business starting with the boss John Towers (Steven Brand). He does coke. He has a man just to fire people. He cheats his clients. He’s a jerk. When the virus hits it increases the selfish nature of the employees. Now they get to be ultra-violent and act out the phrase that it’s a dog eat dog world. That leads to plenty of comedic moments as well especially when Derek gets to commentate about different people that work for the firm. It’s also the main point of the film about how corrupt corporations are and how soul destroying working for them can be.The only problem with the script is that Derek keeps stopping at each floor to talk to people. He’s infected with the virus so he should just be slapping people around and forcing them to do his will. Instead they constantly have him sitting down and trying to have rational conversations about his next step. It’s like the rioters suddenly forgot what the movie is supposed to be about. Bad move in the story. On the other hand it’s great to see an Asian male as the lead character. He even gets with a white girl which is an added bonus and something basically unheard of in your normal Hollywood film. That added with the commentary about companies makes it an above average flick.C

Surprisingly Good
Wasn't expecting much from this type of film, and I'm glad I didn't have any expectations, because the film very much surprised me. The only reason I ventured into watching it is because the female lead was in The Babysitter and I wanted to see her other work. She's a fantastic actress, and of course she is an Aussie, so it's simply impossible for her not to be. If you're looking for some good ol' action flick, and you're tired of working for your employer and want to blow off some steam, give this a watch.

What a flop
The idea of the film was good, but it was spoilt by the comedy aspect. Why turn a a horror into a comedy? It worked for Shaun of the Dead, but this was just awful, awful, awful. It could have been good, but it wasn’t. I’m just glad I didn’t pay for a new copy and got a used one. In any case, it will never be played again. Very disappointed.
