2013 release, the follow-up to Part One of The Audio Guide to Happiness. Both of these titles, combined as one complete piece, allows the listener to venture deep within his/her emotional core. The brain's emotional perception and response evolved long before the emergence of logic and reasoning, traits that distinguish the human race. Because of this evolutionary disconnect, the ability to fully understand emotion lies beyond reasoning's limitations. With this combination of musical, lyrical, and binaural stimulation, they are able to directly target the brain's limbic and autonomic nervous systems, almost completely bypassing the frontal lobe. In short, the emotions are directly addressed without being filtered through the brain's logic center. The listener can therefore see his/her emotion in its true form without being forced to oversimplify it with labels and categorizations. The result is an emotionally limber and self-aware brain completely accepting of its unique place in the world.

A triumphant follow-up to Audio Guide part 1
This album follows much of the same format and feel of it's predecessor, which makes it feel like a true part II, part I being an extremely strong effort. AGTH2 boasts a number of very solid tracks, my favorites being 'You Against the World', 'Dust Nation Bleak', 'Despite the Shell' and 'While We Slept in Burning Shades'and 'As Heard on Tape' is so fantastic its reason enough to purchase the album even if the rest of the album was filler. All have very solid basslines, ethereal and active keyboards and Anadale's vocals that are always very soulful and inspiring. I've listened to Jolly for several years and for the most part this album delivers the kind of sound I'm come to love and expect from this extremely talented band. It's very difficult to put your finger on exactly what kind of music this is. It's a very sophisticated, artistic and soulful form of metal. Melodic enough to attract and satisfy those that are looking for inspiration in their music, and heavy enough for die hard metal heads to find their groove as well. The music is very unique and original and even after many listens, it still sounds fresh and beautiful. There are a few disappointing tracks, but it's not enough to keep me from writing a good review and recommending this purchase. Purchase and enjoy to your heart's content.

Clever and Approachable
I am in love with Jolly. This album hits me in all the right places. The production is terrific in that it's clean but not overly done. The music itself is complex where it needs to be but the musicians aren't spending song upon song showcasing how many time changes and 1/12592839482394892384-th notes they can play. I just like the playful nature of the album overall and I'm forever a sucker for a concept album. You might not agree 100% with my review. If you're a fan of this next generation of progressive rock though, you won't disagree that it's a bloody solid piece of genius.

As a progression from The Audio Guide to Happiness Pt. 1
As a progression from The Audio Guide to Happiness Pt. 1, this a brilliant continuation of a wonderful musical journey. Heavier in parts, softer in others, very dynamic, smarter, cleverer, longer, and just overall more interesting (if not entirely more fun) than the Audio guide Pt.1. Both are incredible albums and are so good they're almost incompatible without each other. Listen to Pt.1 before Pt.2 for the best experience. Hint: Listen both of them consecutively and you'll wish a lot more progressive metal bands were this good. Highly recommended!

Jolly Is Incredible!
I am Happy! The Audio Guide to Happiness Parts 1 & 2 are nothing less than brilliant! Watch out folks because here comes the next great progressive rock band. They have it all. These guys are really good! Great songwriting, amazing musical precision, intelligent lyrics and gorgeous production in their recordings. This is simply wonderful music with psychotic mood swings that take you from a sunny summer's day to the darkest places on earth in a mere second. Amazing.Buy Jolly!

Next big prog band?
Just got this and love it, can't stop playing, very melodic etc. I still tend to think they should have RichMouser or Peter Collins produce them next time around. I don't get the concept behind the sound waves causing happiness though...

Amazing Music
Jolly has made an album that has unique music that doesn't copy the typical sound found in metal or rock. There is so much great melodies and riffs in the songs to create an interesting atmosphere.

In a league of its own (well, sharing it with very few others :)) - Listen to the samples
A direct continuation of part 1 this album is pushing the envelope even further, presenting euphoric moments of pure musical awesomeness and reinvents itself with every single song. The band shows great skill and sensitivity and uses contrast, melody, rhythm and structure to turn each song into a journey through soundscapes, moods and emotions.Beauty, ugliness, humor and seriousness- they all have their place here and are used to compliment and emphasize each other - like they do in life :). Many bands attempt to do it but Jolly actually gets it right :).The lyrics serve the music here and not vice versa, while intriguing at times and open to interpretation, they don't take the limelight and that's probably a good thing when so much is going on.The album is extremely tight and contains absolutely no fillers. Multiple listens are required and rewarded.Music IS evolving and it is doing so through bands like Jolly and through albums like the audio guide to happiness part 2.Highly recommended!

Happyness
