A Good Day for Ducks

Adorable story for toddlers.

I loved this book so much when we got it from the library I HAD to put it on my 2 year old's book wishlist and we now own a copy of it! She asks for it by saying "read drip drop!" A hit hit with both she and I!it's a magnificent book about all the fun two siblings have on a rainy day -- splashing in puddles, having cocoa after, painting pictures. It's so cozy and makes this rainy day grump see the possibilities of a rainy day as fun rather than something to be loathed (which I typically do). The illustrations are beautiful, too, along with the text itself which has such a good rhythm to it. Highly recommend! It's a keeper!

A sweet book with limited text about the sights, sounds and joys that two siblings experience on a rainy day. Loose watercolor and ink illustrations nicely express their joy. This is a sturdy book printed on extra thick pages for durability.

It reminded me of a perfect day for kids! A great rainy day book, or really any day for toddlers--because splashing in puddles is one of their favorite activities. Good balance of engaging text and pictures. My kids wanted to read it over and over!
