Second Benyar watch and counting, either up or down
Benyar interpretation of a Speedtimer, model number 5194GM. The watch has a blue dial which is much brighter than on the product page pictures, it is a lighter blue and very, very shiny. The dial is a muted blue, but it is also brighter than the product page pictures. The closeup pictures in this review might give you some idea of the blue tone. The watch came in a nice gift box with a magnetic closure and an instruction book.FIVE DAYS IN, decided the watch is not for me. The size it too large even though it measures 45mm it is really 48mm across if you count the crown and it is thick. The other main factor is the color. If the watch had the same coloration as in on the offer page, I would probably keep it. It looks matte. But in real life it is much too bright and shiny. The bezel and the dial are too bright outdoors. I felt like a target. The dial and bezel are also a brighter blue than pictured on the offering page. Otherwise I think this is a fine watch and a steal for the Amazon retail price. The watch band looks nice and is really good quality for this price range, it has a foldover clasp, which I personally favor over a butterfly clasp. Harder to fly open. The metal band compares favorably to my Pulsars, it has a nice finish, but it is not quite as heavy. The watch is keeping time...well. The stop watch works very well. The sub dial hands line up. The large second hand is a sweep, on other chronographs the large second hand is the stop watch. On this one and probably on most of the inexpensive chronographs, it is small second hand. This means the bezel Tachymeter is a decoration.I understand that some of the Pagani Design watches ones have the large second hand as the stop watch. I was hoping that it would be the same for this watch which looks like another interpretation of the Daytona Speedster. Since Beynar is a sub tier of Pagani Design I am quite happy with quality of this watch. It costs less than half the price of the Pagani Designs.Aside from the color alterations between the real and the product photos, I am very impressed with this watch. But it is a bit larger than I expected, with the crown, the watch is 48mm wide. It has some heft to it and it is a little bit thick. Overall, I think that this watch compares favorably with other watches that cost more. I had a Ferrari EVO, and now own a Festina Sport Chronograph, and a Maserati Triguardo which have a better finish but not that much better for the money. They also use the small second hand sub dial for the Tachymetre. So the Bezel Tachymetre is also a decoration. This is in watches which cost four to five times the cost of this Beynar Chronometer 5194GM. This is day one, I will revisit this review on day 30.DAY FIVE, DECIDED TO RETURN THE WATCH. Too big and too bright for me. It does not look like the pictures in the offering.

Beautiful watch
I bought this watch for my husband as a gift. He wears Carter but needed a more casual watch but still looked elegant. This was perfect and the blue gold detail was what he loved. The band is very nice. The watch fit perfect and keeps time. Yes of course it is not as slim as his Carter but looks fantastic.

Great watch for the money
Looks great. Keeps time well. Band is rubbery and seems durable. Very happy with it after 4 months.

Well packaged, arrived on time.
Very well made. Very attractive and appears to be a very expensive watch when it is actually inexpensive. The down side is I cannot adjust the strap. The instructions on-line said a tool to make changes comes with the watch. No such tool was included. If i take it to a jeweler to have it adjusted it will cost more than the watch!Furthermore the Tachometer cannot be used due to being unable to stop the large second hand, this renders the Tachymeter useless

Looks very good, but rather quirky
Overall: * Very inexpensive, and some things have to give. * At first glance the watch looks much like the Omega Speedmaster Professional ("Moon Watch"). * The hands are easy to read, but they do not glow in the dark in the usual sense. Once exposed to strong light they are visible for minutes in the dark, not hours. * It keeps time within spec. of +/- 1 second per day (30 seconds per month). This is not bad, but it is not especially good for quartz based timepieces. * A normal user will probably have some difficulty to adjust the stainless steel bracelet, because special tools are normally required. It is possible to improvise, however. * A normal user should consider the watch for the "look" and the "fun" to use for about 2 years when the battery is exhausted and then discard the watch, because changing the battery by the user is "not recommenced" by the manufacturer. Special tools are required, and paying someone to change the battery will probably cost a large fraction of the price of the watch, or more.Chronograph functions: * The large, sweep second hand is not part of chronograph like the Omega. * There are three small dials, one for 0 to 2 seconds, one for 0 to 60 seconds, and one for 0 to 60 minutes. * The 0 to 2 seconds dial is labeled 0 to 10, offering fine resolution much less than 0.1 second. However reading the dial is confusing, because the "10" corresponds to 2 seconds, not 1 second. * The 0 to 2 s dial stops counting at 1 minute. However, it appears that watch keeps track internally of the fractional seconds, and the result shows up when the watch is stopped. * The chronograph function stops completely at 60 minutes; there is no way to time longer events. * The two automatic stops are probably intended to reduce battery drain if the stop is not pressed. * The reset function is bizarre: Pressing the button may make the watch count backwards, and it may take a significant time to complete the reset. For example, resetting from 10 minutes takes 18 seconds, and 28 minutes takes 30 seconds. That can be very frustrating. However resetting from 58 minutes was almost immediate, because the watch counts forward. * As received the 0 to 60 minute hand started at 0.5, not 0.0, making reading the watch error-prone. After trying to apply the instructions of the manual to "zero" the dials, the end result was worse, 1.5 minutes, and then 4.5 minutes. After much experimentation I succeeded: (a) The instructions are wrong, and (b) the only way to adjust the minute counter by 1 minute is to advance the seconds counter by 60 seconds etc.Instruction Book (IB): * The print is VERY small and a magnifying glass is necessary for reading. * Book is almost completely useless. It talks about 9 different watches quartz timed watches, none of which correspond to this watch. The IB even talks about one or more mechanically timed watches. * The closest approximation to applicability is called "Pattern 8" on p. 6. This works for setting the time and date. * Some information given under "Pattern 9" sounds useful for re-synchronizing the hands, but it is wrong. * Instructions are wrong in how to reset the small dials if they get out of adjustment, such as when battery is changed (or when it was originally received). * The battery is expected to last about 2 years, and there is a bizarre statement on p. 3 that unless the battery is changed before it is run down too low, the mechanism may be damaged! * The battery is not intended to be changed by the user. Rather it must be changed by an "authorized" person, e.g. from whom the watch was purchased. Amazon is not going to do that. There is no information on what battery is needed apart from being 1.55 V. * The rubber gasket on the back should be changed every 2 or 3 years to prevent water leaks. Where is a user going to get gaskets? A special tool is required to unscrew the back.Setting the date and time is easy, once one gets the hang of it ("Pattern 8" of IB): * Date set: Pull crown to first click; the watch does not stop. (A little tricky.) Turn crown clockwise to advance the date. Push crown back all the way. Note: be sure that watch is in proper am/pm to make the correct date change time. * Time set: Pull crown all the way out; the watch will stop, e. g. at "12 o'clock" position of sweep seconds hand for start of a minute. Turn crown in either direction for the desired time. Press crown back all the way when the time reference matches the watch setting, e.g. "12 o'clock" position of sweep seconds hand. Watch will start running again. This is a nice feature like the "Hack" function on a mechanical watch. * The IB p. 10 says not to attempt to change the date between 21:00 and 03:00 or the mechanism may be damaged. On the watch I received, the large, sweep second hand does not point directly to a seconds mark on the face, and is off by about 0.5 second. The photo on the web site even shows this. The stainless steel bracelet looks very nice, but a normal user will have difficulty adjusting the bracelet to fit the wrist: * The only adjustment is by removal of links, normally using special tools. However, with some ingenuity, it should be possible to unfold a paper clip to use to push out the removable pins to remove a link. Note the arrows on the inside of the bracelet indicating the direction to push. The bracelet as supplied is very large and several links may be needed to be removed for use. For me, removing 4 links was not enough, and removing 5 links was on the edge of being too tight. * The links are large, about 10 mm, and there is no fine adjustment. This may be a problem. * There is a video on YouTube that complains bitterly about how noisy and sloppy the stainless steel bracelet is when shaking the watch off the hand. I do not find it noisier or sloppier than the "real thing" from Omega.Zero position:Instructions in "manual" are wrong! Do this. Button ID A buttono C crown B button 1. Normal: a. If timer is not running, press B to reset. b. If timer is running, press A to stop it and then press B to reset. 2. Abnormal, zero position is wrong after step 1: a. Pull out the setting crown all the way [sweep second hand stops]. b. Adjust 0 - 2 s dial, if needed: Press A. Each press will advance by one scale graduation until proper position is reached. Note: Keeping A pressed advances rapidly. c. Adjust 0 to 60-second circle, if needed: Press B button. Each press will advance hand by 1 graduation until proper position is reached. Note: Keeping B pressed advances rapidly. If you overshoot and go beyond 60 s the minute counter will be incorrectly set. d. Adjust 0 to 60 minute circle if needed: Do steps of "c" advancing 0 to 60 s dial, perhaps many times, until minute dial is correct. This may mean wrapping around 60 minutes on the display.N.B. * The method does not permit setting both the second and minute hands precisely. Must compromise on error on minute counter.

Bracelet en cuir ou en caoutchouc?
J'ai posé la question au vendeur mais je n'ai pas de réponse. A mon avis le bracelet n'est pas du cuir contrairement au descriptif
