Transform your worn furniture, no need for primer or topcoat!
I have a wood and granite bathroom vanity that is in terrible condition and too heavy to replace easily. The vanity is a cute shape and a great size, so I tried revamping it instead of buying a new vanity. One can was more than enough to do 4 coats. I probably could have done just 3 coats, but this is in a steamy high traffic bathroom so I wanted the paint to be durable. The project took two days due the 8 hour dry time between coats, but it was a relatively easy project because I didn't do much prep work. I sanded the rough parts, cleaned with windex, did a very light sanding all over, and cleaned with a tack cloth. Then I just painted my 4 coats. The first was a light coat with foam brushes, then 3 coats with a brush and mini roller. I loved that I just bought one can of paint rather than having to buy a primer, paint, and topcoat. The paint dried well and we were able to use the vanity after the last coat dried for 8 hours. The paint is very fragile for about a week, but dries to a hard finish. After a month the finish was fully cured and almost impossible to dent with a fingernail.I was afraid to buy the pure white to cover the dark wood, so I went with ivory. No regrets, it looks fine. I'm pretty sure the white would have covered just as well. The paint hid the wood grain and filled in uneven areas. The paint cleaned well off my brush and roller with just water and dish soap. The can came sealed with metal tabs. The paint appeared fresh and well blended. It smelled like latex paint and was not overwhelming indoors.I'm very pleased that I got so much mileage out of this small can. Well worth the price and I would rebuy again.Hope you found this review helpful 🙂

This stuff is INCREDIBLE! Move over, chalk paint!
Pros: Where do I start?!Cons: Nope.This. Paint. Is. MAJIC!I feel like I can say that with some credibility, being that I also make and sell my own paints (watercolors)Other than painting on paper though, I recently have updated my entire house, floor to ceiling, and I love a good DIY moment. Being able to save some dough, get creative, and wind up with a custom piece... what could be better? So right now I’m making a MegaDesk, inspired by my weekend stay at a lovely little B&B in Scranton, PA - Schrute Farms, maybe you’ve heard of it? The irrigation suite was delightful!Anyways, that was a reference, not an actual anecdote, and if you understood it you get a gold star. But, in all seriousness, I decided I did need to create a giant “MegaDesk” for my bedroom/office where I run my small business - everything from production to marketing to shipping, as well as painting for fun in my spare time - happens at my desk. Despite using every trick in the book to maximize my space, I just did not have an adequate surface area to work with.I bought 2 cube storage shelves to serve as the legs/foundation of the desk-counter hybrid, and hit the hardware store to have them cut the top for me. It was supposed to be a white melamine panel, but the store screwed up and I wound up with a very heavy, albeit sturdy, panel of sanded MDF. It measures 7.5ft L x 3ft W (roughly the size of a twin bed).I had no idea how I would take the panel from a raw, sanded finish to a surface that was resilient, pretty to look at, easy to accomplish, and wouldn’t cost a fortune. Yikes.Chalk paint? Epoxy? Contact paper? Enamel? Spray paint? Ugh.The Amazon gods demonstrated mercy and my search resulted in this miracle paint. Reading the reviews, I was like - OMG! Tile?! Appliances?! No WAY!It says on the can to prime raw wood, but I took my chances just laying down the Diamond Hard Majic Paint over the dry, dust-free panel. I bought 2 quarts and I don’t think I’ll even finish the first one.First coat went down so easy and by the time I got to one end of the panel, the other was dry enough for a second coat touch up type deal. One more solid coat and it’ll be perfect. I am so beyond happy and can’t wait to use this on other projects throughout my home!

Goes on BLUE, but dries BLACK!
Be advised, the black color is blue. I do A LOT of painting. First time using this paint, but thought I'd give it a try. I ordered black and it arrived on time. However, upon opening I found blue paint inside. Rechecked the order and the label, both said black. Disappointed I immediately ordered a replacement and planned to call the company about mislabeled paint (this happened on a Sunday). Sad that my project was delayed, I went back to reseal the paint BUT first put a big dollop of paint on the can lid in hopes the paint would not be resold as black once returned.Next day, I went to repackage the paint for return and found that the dollop of paint was black. Yep, black! Black as night. So, I decided to try it on my project and once completely dry, its is black. This products really should say "goes on blue, dries black"It is the strangest paint I've ever worked with but once dried, it is a pretty black satin finish. I hope this saves someone else a delay in their project and Happy Painting! ;)

Paint is awesome!! Shipping prep not so great!
I used to buy this paint at Hobby Lobby (Oklahoma) they don’t carry it anymore, not sure why, it’s great paint! I have ordered from here several times. This is the second time it has leaked during shipping. I will continue to buy from them but it delays my projects having to wait to get it replaced. Shipping preparation needs to be improved.
