Norwegian Pick-Up Bandweaving

A very useful hb book. It starts with the history, traditions and usage of the woven bands. Then follows an equipment and 'how to' section. It also contains a number of patterns. Can be used by a beginner to learn. Just remember that one needs to practise to become proficient. The patterns are also useful for intermediate weavers and the background information is interesting for any crafter.

While the history aspects of this are fascinating and comprehensively covered, and there are multiple traditional patterns shown, I was really looking for a guide to table weaving, which from the illustration on the cover is similar but not the same technique or equipment. So be careful to check that this is what you want
