Wow
This is one of the strangest ergonomic mice that I've ever used. Continuous use over a short period of time made my pointer finger ache something fierce. It's very different. I didn't expect that the bottom part had a scroll button as well as the face that it acted as a base that you could move around like a regular mice. The pen is a bit awkward. My husband found the buttons on the pen really annoying but he liked the feel of holding it. I liked the buttons on the pen but I felt clumsy holding the pen though I got used it to it quickly enough.A major complaint is the manufacture's packaging. I purchased both the white and the black versions. The top part with the three bottoms on the black one was coming unhinged. The white one was in better shape but the dongle was missing. The mice didn't look used but I suspect that they were previously and were not treated well. I blame it on the fact that the pencil part just sort of wiggles around in the case it comes in when it should really be wrapped somehow.

considerably more comfortable than traditional mouse
I have had this mouse for quite a while, and still love the feel of this mouse. My only complaint is that it loses connectivity to Win 7 pc after short periods of inactivity, almost like Windows is shutting it down to power save, even when that power save setting is not selected.

Didn't Work
I was really excited about this product. I didn't get a chance to use it because:a. The USB connector it came with didn't fit into a standard USB port on my computers. Which, meant I could not use it as a wireless mouseb. It did come with a short charging cord, which charged fine. However, my computer didn't recognize the mouse, and I couldn't use it as a wired mouse either. Also the cord was too short to use as a wired mouse.c. Also ,I was sent Penclic R2 not D2. Not sure if that makes any difference, but just FYI.Don't wast your time on this, I returned it immediately.

Three Stars
Do not recommend, not very user friendly.

Not what I expected.
This is just a mouse with a long handle. I expected something more similar to a writing pen, enabling you to follow the trace of a line.

GREAT
So far it has worked amazing for about 8 months of constant use. Totally mitigated RSI pain in my right hand. Only negative is that you cannot have wired control (only wireless+charger or wireless on battery). This isn't really an issue, I would just prefer it because of my desktop setup.

Not perfect but VERY good compared to the alternatives
I have been using this unit for about 9 mos. I am a daily office user (5-6 hours per day at the computer emails, typed documents, etc.) with large hands. The traditional mouse was become painful for my forearm so I was looking for something that mimic a more natural feel, i.e. holding a pencil. This unit is close to being perfect but a few refinements are critical.1. The scroll roller is on the body of the mouse rather than the body of the 'pen' which still makes the strain on your forearm present, though no where near as much as a traditional mouse.2. The laser eye is sensitive or subject to delay at times making 'missed targets' a little too frequent.3. I received the unit with a faulty rechargeable battery. When I notified the manufacturer that the unit was not holding a charge, they told me I should replace the battery rather than them send me out a new one!?4. There is no 'reconnect' function or button once the unit goes to sleep. So, if your day is broken up from the computer, you have to continually turn the unit off and back on to reconnect.5. The wireless receiver is small. Unlike most wireless mouses (mice?!), there is no spot to store the receiver in the mouse during transport.6. It does not lend itself to being mobile, rather it is primarily designed to stay at a desk given the 'pen' sticking out of the base. I have not transported it, say in a briefcase or backpack, for fear of it breaking.Still, it is MUCH better from an ergonomic standpoint as I was have SEVERE pain in my forearm from the mouse. That pain is GONE completely so it is still a much better product than the standard mouse or over-sized ergonomic mouse.

This device is terrible
I thought this was one of the best ideas i'd seen in peripherals for a while since I use a wacom tablet as my primary device. This seemed like a great device for simple mouse work when I wasn't using the tablet. But the action on this device is just miserable. it feels ok in your hand, but I'm constantly overshooting my files or folders and it's difficult to dial in the responsiveness to improve it. It's now collecting dust in a box with old mice.
