This is the third bug zapper I have ever purchased, my first was a Flowtron and it lasted me about 12 years, I did not re-purchase the Flowtron even though it totally obliterates anything that gets in it because the U tube’s are expensive and I generally run my unit 24/7 about nine months a year. My second unit was a silent model and I found that insects larger than a house fly tended to only be maimed. So I returned it back to Amazon within the 30 days without issue and replaced it with the Hoont. The Hoont Seems to be just as effective as the Flowtron in that it obliterating everything that touches it, however it seems to be just a tiny bit quieter. The main reason I purchased the Hoont was because it has a clean out tray for any insects that get inside the grill and it sheds insects that get zapped on the outside. It has a selection of three different tubes that vary in price that can be placed into it. So far nothing seems to escape it and it does a fantastic job at killing anything that gets in my garage. You should remember if you put this in your garage to put it high up on the ceiling so the bugs cannot see the UV light outside when your garage door is open. You will attract every bug in the neighborhood if you put it down low, however once they get inside a structure they gravitate to it slowly when other lights are on and once you turn the lights out they seem to fall into it.

We live on a farm, so there are plenty of insects to worry about. The Hoot zapper really works. It is the strongest of all the small non-commercial units I have seen. The best recommendation I could give it is that after using one, I bought two more.

This bug zapper works well. It attracts flies and other insects and takes care of them. I have used it a number of times and usually within minutes it has zapped multiple bus.

I feel as if something is sticking in me most of the time but no one else feels this in my household. I sent for this zapper and have been happy every since. If there is a nat or any small flying insect not send by the eye but I can feel them is being caught.

This is exactly as described and easy to use !! Plug it in and it works !! Gets rid of insects that you don't even realize are in your home ! We have very small wispy mosquitoes in our area and this product takes care of them ! Love it ! Purchased two !!

Works like it should. It does sound like someone came behind you and clapped in your ear so the noise is loud. But we have it outside so its not too bad. Love it though. Seen a drastic reduction in bugs in the backyard!
