Arrived quickly; Installed easily; fit
I installed this hood on an LX 277. When I opened the box I was a little disappointed because there was a visible break on the first part I saw. However as it turns out this was on the bottom front of the lower hood. It was not at all visible when installed and had no functional impact whatsoever. Given the size of the part, the mass, and the fact that the parts are shipped - it's actually pretty impressive that's the worst that happened. The parts are also wrapped with a cling plastic that helps retain and protect the part. I'm very happy with the product. I would recommend the manufacturer consider including the 4 bolts that are needed to attach the upper and lower hoods on installation. Customers need to be aware that they otherwise need to save those bolts for the replacement parts.

This hood replacement looks great on a 20 year old john deere gt235
This is a nice replacement upper and lower hood for a john deere gt235. I had damaged my hood on a 20 year old john deere gt235, figured I would give this one a shot.I t was a perfect fit, everything lined up perfectly .looks like the original...made this 20 yearold tractor look new again....highly recommend if you are wanting to replace your hood.

Great product
I have an older John Deere mower that I got when I bought a new house. The upper hood was cracked when I go it and then the lower hood started cracking. The hood made by Flip manufacturing fits perfectly and cost much less than a replacement from John Deere. Other than the fact that there are no decals on my hood I don't think anyone would know that the hood was not a part from John Deere.

Makes my GT235 look much newer. Fit perfect. Easy install.
Hood sure was not inexpensive but if fit perfectly and looks good. I purchased Deere stickers separately and the tractor looks 10 years newer! It's a shame Deere couldn't work with Rubbermaid to make a long life hood. My old hood just cracked to pieces as it aged - even though it was kept indoors. New Deere tractors seem to have the same hood style.

It fit my John Deere GT235 perfectly
My garden tractor is 16 years old. As I found out when I hit a woven wire fence, the plastic hoods were quite brittle with age. They shattered on impact. I didn't just barrel into the fence but the damage was done. Anything that comes from John Deere comes with sticker shock. Knowing that, I found this dealer and after much soul searching, I ordered the hoods. Would they really fit, being a copycat item. Yes, they did. Now for a bit of advice that others have said. SAVE ALL YOUR SCREWS. I also suggest you hang on to the damaged parts to see how it goes together once the new hoods arrive. Don't throw anything away until you are ready to put it all together. Of course, I'm more thickheaded than most, so this suggestion may not apply to you. One thing that I didn't like was that they did not offer the replacement filter that fits on the lower hood. If they do have it, I never found it. I did find it from a different supplier. Be prepared to spend around 100 bucks for this filter. I considered it highway robbery, but there again it had John Deere stamped on the filter. Another note of caution...be sure to align the new filter exactly right before setting it on the hood. There is no way you can move it once even a little of the filter is touching the hood. I had no problem with it, but just be careful. I thought it all turned out great. Now, to stay clear of that naughty fence.

Good seller product ok
Compared to the OEM hood, it is thinner. Came cracked, second was sent out right away but same crack same place. I just decided to repair it myself Still better than paying JD 2x
