It fits the shop vac perfectly, and costs less than the "big" brand name ones. Seems to be doing the job it's meant to do.

Fits 16 gallon Craftsman shop vac
The filter fit my mid 90s 16 gallon Craftsman shop vac. The original nut and cap is not used when installing the filter to the vacuum. Seems to be working as well as the original filters for wood chips and dust.

Perfect fit
Depending on how much you use your shop vac, you'll need to replace the filter periodically. I typically use it as a dry vac to clean my garage of dust, pollen, and small debris. Dust and dirt accumulates in the filter reducing the effectiving of the sucking/blowing power. I've tried shaking it out which works for a time, but eventually even light use will require a filter replacement. This filter fit perfectly into my 10 gallon Craftsman wet/dry vac and took less than a minute to install.
