G**O
Indispensable for good video
I use the HH7 in conjunction with my Canon G2O and SONY AX100 camcorders. I find it makes a big difference for precise focusing using peeking. Occasionally use false colors. That is a helpful feature. The screen is big, so no need to squint to study what you are shooting. Changing the hue and saturation from the menu enables one to reasonably accurately match the camera LCD. However, I find that precise focusing and framing are the real assets of the HH7. At its price it is difficult to beat.I carry the HH7 in a 7" hard case I bought on eBay for large GPS screens, for about $10. Protects it well. I find PowerExtra batteries to be best and inexpensive. I find that a PortKeys hood is advisable. It brings out details better than without it. Even though the screen is bright. (I find that just the top screw is adequate. Saves fiddling with other 2.)Only caveat: It lacks a battery condition meter. This is pointed out in other reviews. So a standby battery is a good idea.

Warped, sharp edges, and finicky installation
The shade is a disappointment. It’s made out of a sharp, flimsy, textured plastic that has a warped appearance once installed. The top portion bows downward into the view of my screen and requires me to bend it out of the way or tilt the screen upwards. The edges feel sharp so sometimes if I’m outside and not paying attention my forehead bangs against the shade and it sure doesn’t feel good. Lastly, installation requires three screws, meaning when packing for storage in my camera case I have to keep unscrewing and screwing back into the monitor to make sure I don’t lose them.

Great value for money
Brightness isnt an issue outside. Wis it had more function buttons or an easy way to toggle between more function options.
