There is a sticker on the front of the case that states ‘pure horror death metal’, which is a wierd tag considering the music inside is more heavy thrash reminiscent of Shrapnel. Perhaps the sticker was referring to the vocals rather than music. The songs crack along at a fair old pace, superbly excitable while retaining a steamroller heaviness that keeps you headbanging all the way through, it is an album which seems to inject its energy right into you making it incredibly fun to listen to.In a way Vampire are like Venom; the dark aesthetic is a way of having fun and not becoming boringly serious, an album to drink beer to (or your favourite soft drink) rather than a glass of red wine in the dark.This album is for the most part a well crafted exercise in the ways of fast thrash, the album itself doesn’t hang around, it does its thing and then is all over in under 40 mins and before you know it you have pressed the play button yet again, don’t expect too much variety but do expect a lot of fun.
