Overall, it's a good band. Some commenters knocked the all-black look. I like it better than the black with gray inlay. The end of the strap could be a little thicker to hold the keeper strap in place, but it's not a big issue. The flex is nice, and the fit is almost identical to the original. It's lighter, I think. The only issue with this band was the difficult installation. I've replaced my Suunto band five times and have not had as much trouble...this one takes a while. Something about the way the plastic is cut prevents the pins from being secured in the watch face easily. Just keep at it...you'll get it, and then it will be bnehind you and you'll be enjoying your Observer again! Overall, not a bad replacement. And seeing how Suunto's broke every 10 months (if that), I'm glad to give another a shot. Hopefully this one lasts longer!!

Great to have 3rd party bands available for the Suunto Observer watch. Mine had sat in a drawer for awhile since Suunto decided not to make available replacement bands and the band they provide for the watch didn't last long before falling apart (I think I went through 3 in the 1st couple years I had the watch). While this replacement band isn't quite the quality of the original Suunto version, it fits the watch well, and is less expensive than the Suunto band was. Overall I gave it 4 stars because I appreciate 3rd party vendors stepping in and offering a replacement band and it should wear as well as the original band. Please note, the replacement band does not come with the pins for the band. I still had the pins for my watch so this was not an issue for me. The provided tool is helpful as it is not easy to get the band and pins in place when replacing the band.

The Suunto Observer is incredible watch, with great features, and small for a compass, altitude sensing watch. the problem is the rubber watch bands last about 2 years. this watch band is great. It fits like it should. it is easy to install if you know how the pins hold in place. takes about 10 mins to install. we will see how long it lasts, but so far it looks great, and feels great.

The watch band is great! It’s the same size as the original. I found it relatively easy to replace. The screwdriver that comes with it is designed to work with the pins as well as can be expected given the design of the Observer watch. Another review stated that they used the original metal watch strap holder, so I did the same thing and it was pretty easy to remove the one that came on the replacement strap and replace it with the original. Just remember how it goes on because I forgot and had to take it off and put it back on again the correct way. No shipment issues and everything else was great. Mine was international shipping as well.

This band is close to the original and fits the watch perfectly. The buckle is not like the factory buckle and requires that the tail of the band be tucked into the rubber retaining sleeve to stay secure. Fortunately the original buckle is mounted using a spring pin like those that hold the band to the watch. I was able to move the original buckle to the new band.The band comes with a tool to facilitate removal and installation of the band which was very handy to have. Too bad it didn't come with new spring pins.

Although the wrist band seems to be well made,,,,...…………...it is pretty short, I'm not that large of a person and the wrist band just barely fits me. It does take some "technique" and personal knowhow....practical abilities to get the wristband attached to the watch...…..the "average" techy" metropolitan person will have a hard time with attaching the wristband to the watch.

Seems to be an exact match to the original Suunto Observer watch band in terms of fit with the watch and design, though it is not two-tone around the holes or underside of the band. I am hoping the material used will last longer than the original Suunto, which was a widely reported problem. Installing the band was the same as the original - fussy but with practice (which I have had over the years), not too bad. I’d recommend adding some detailed instructions with the most effective technique, as there is a bit of a trick to it.

this is NOT a SUUNTO branded replacement band, and is not of equivalent quality for the $33 price - it does the job, but no idea how long this will last, the SUUNTO branded strap lasted 3-4 years of daily use before breaking - I would look elsewhere!
