These patches are a lifesaver - almost literally. The colors are great. A lot of options and the colors are vibrant and don’t fade. The adhesive is strong so it keeps your sensor on in all situations whether it’s exercise or swimming or whatever else. The fit is perfect around the sensor. They’re comfortable. You don’t even realize it’s there. It’s so great to have these and not worry about ripping a sensor off and wasting a crsp load of money. It just works.

Great patches
I have used them on my GCM's before however this time i'm using them as an additional patch over another medication patch. It was falling off and the prescription only gives you one adhesive cover to last all week, so I put the med patch on, then the adhesive one from the pharmacy over it, then plop this over the whole thing. It helps keep the edges down for the entire week no problem until I have to swap it out. Before i would worry about it falling off when I sleep but not anymore! And they stretch and don't pull off like normal patches.

Best I’ve found
This is the best patch I’ve found. It’s breathable and stays stuck. I’ve worn it swimming and throughout my sweaty day In the texas sun. Now after about a week the ends become frayed which I didn’t like. To fix that issue I use skin tac wipes. That seems to do the trick. I’ve tried the other patches, the clear transparent ones. They do not let moisture out and eventually will bubble and fall off. Do yourself a solid and go this route and even add the skin tac wipe…you won’t lose sensors and let’s face facts…those things ain’t cheap.

A little too sticky
These do a great job of sticking to skin and covering the sensor patch. The only negative I have is that they are so sticky that they almost always wind up sticking to my fingers when I try to apply them. I wasted 3 of them my first time because the patch kept sticking to me or the receiver or the itself. Probably just a skill issue but it’s still a little annoying.

1000x better than the dexcom overpatch
Absolutely must have for anyone that is even remotely active. We all know the manufacturers overpatch has consistently gotten worse over the years. These are absolutely phenomenal. When they first arrived my G6 and overpatch were already well into their routine peeling. I actually placed one of these over patches over the top just to see how it would do, thinking what’s the worse that happens? We were going for a massage and soak in the hot springs that afternoon so I figured I’d just have to cut this one short and change it if it came off. Here I am the next day and the sensor is still in, not even a slight bit of peeling going on and the skin grip patch doesn’t have direct contact with my skin on approximately 40-50% of the patch because it’s covering the peeling manufacturers overpatch. I’m beyond impressed and will absolutely be a repeat customer.

Finally!! A great Over-patch
I typically wear my G6 on my upper arm. And there have been several time when I caught it on something (car door, shelf, even a fence!) and pulled it right off. Once within 45 minutes of inserting it. Talk about costly!! I’ve tried other over-patch’s. Didn’t care for them. I do use mine a little differently. I also use a G6 protector. Bought it on Amazon. Little deal that looks 3D printed but has some “flower petal” like “feet” that go around the G6 and a wall that fits snugly around the G6. The “petals” fully cover the G6’s regular adhesive. I then place this over-patch over the protector. The petals keep this adhesive from touching the g6’s adhesive patch. I do have to trim this patch a tiny bit to get it to fit easily but that’s no big deal. What is a big deal is that most of these patches stay fully intact all 10 days. Once I did catch the edge of an over-patch and it started peeling up about day 5. I was on vacation at the time. In and out of the pool several times a day. Constantly putting on sun screen. Then soaping up hard at night to get all of it off. I peeled the roughed up pad away. The flower petal feet on my protector kept it from pulling up the original patch. I took the old patch off my protector, put a new one on and went right back at it. Without these patches and my protector I hadnto replace 3 G6’s within 4 months. Now I’ve gone 4 more months without having to replace a single one. I highly recommend these patches. They have helped me save a lot of money. I will be very sad if they ever go away.

Some extra security.... usually
Bought a package of these instead of others that were more expensive because I wanted my dexcom sensor stayed on for the full 10 days but wanted to spend less than .50 cents a day to do so. The patches have been hit and miss. Some last well into 8-10 days others start peeling at 5 days. This may be explained by the iffy application on those. The "perforated backing" has no tabs to hold on to so you need to pre-fold at the edges or have another scheme to remove them. If I touch the adhesive before it contacts my application site I'm sure to get peeling earlier. It's been interesting to try but I'm tempted to just use a skin tac wipe with just the sensor. Should cost the same.

Simply Superb - They Work!
My procedure for putting in a new Dexcom G6, starting with clean dry skin: (1) swab entire area with alcohol. Let dry. (2) paint a circle of skin tack the size of the sensor adhesive + the skin grip patch, (3) apply the G6 sensor, (4) run fingers around the sensor adhesive area per Dexcom’s instructions, (5) apply a skin grip over patch exactly according to their instructions, (6) don’t worry about the sensor for ten days. For the next ten days of working, running, cycling, long hot showers, changing into and out of workout gear, sleeping on my sensor (OK, so that affects the reading… I get a demerit for that)… the g6 stays stuck and the skin grip over path holds firm. Some weeks, the skin grip latch gets a little “furry” at the edges… I just give it a bit of a trim with a pair of scissors. The skin grip latches hold for me, they move with my arm nicely, they feel comfortable. Just highly recommended.
