Works good for air
I only use this for air on the scroll saw. Easy to adjust. Some reviewers had a problem assembling the parts. Here is how I did it. I stood the coolant hose on the bench, held the fitting on the end and taped it with a plastic hammer. I then rotated the hose end for end and taped the nozzle in place. No problem.

Awesome! Perfect for cutting aluminum using a flood of water!
The media could not be loaded. Works great! I wanted to cut aluminum on my CNC and needed a consistent way to apply water coolant. The nozzle is of a good (small) diameter, which means it can shoot a good amount of pressure in a directed stream, thereby clearing chips and providing sufficient cooling.I also purchased this mist/spray mount, but since I prefer an actual stream of liquid rather than a mist/spray, I am going to use the enclosure/box from this item: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071DXGGP4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1And I have removed the hose that it came with, and instead put this product (Loc-Line 40413 Coolant Hose Assembly Kit) in its place. (that's what you see in the video). This way, I will be able to use the housing to mount it on my CNC's Z axis, while having the jet stream that I like rather than the mist spray.I'm using a simple aquarium pump ($10, up to 80 gallons per hour of flow) to make this work.Highly recommend!

Just what I needed
Order them and they came in right away. Made my process easy. Last time I order from someone off Amazon and it was a big hassle placing and paying for the order.

Great for making helping hands
I also used this to make helping hands. The 1/4 inch connector is screwed into a drilled and tapped cutting board, the loc-line snapped on, and a small alligator clip attached to the free end. I currently have five "helping hands" coming out of the same small cutting board. The cutting board was drilled and then tapped with this 1/4 inch to 18 NPT tap. I picked the alligator clips out of this collection of alligator clips. For my initial versions, I just hot glued the clip to the smaller loc-lne nozzle. This Loc-Line assembly tool will save you endless frustration. For my use, the cheap knockoffs work pretty well too, but I haven't peel hot glue off the yet or hit them with a soldering iron.. The loc-line brand is tough quality stuff though that that I have dripped hot glue onto, have dripped solder onto, and have bumped with the hot end of a soldering iron. The loc-line stuff is still fine after the abuse. Also, the knock-off I tested is not compatible with the loc-line brand. The loc-line has bigger balls on the segment ends.

Excellent replacement for DeWalt DW788 scroll saw air hose
I bought this product, the "Loc-Line Coolant Hose Assembly Kit 1/4" ID", to replace the factory "air hose" on a DeWalt 788 (DW788) scroll saw, as the original was not very good quality and was cracking and falling apart. The kit's two lengths of segmented 'hose', when snapped together, is about the same length as the factory air hose. The kit also comes with two ball fittings which you can use as the upstream end of the hose if needed (they have two different NPT thread sizes), and the kit also comes with three different nozzles; the middle one is close to the nozzle orifice size of the factory one.To make hose assembly faster and easier, I recommend also buying the "Loc-Line Coolant Hose Assembly Pliers, for 1/4" Coolant Hose System" for about $10. The kit and the pliers together come to about $18, which is about half of what DeWalt charges (with shipping) for their lower quality replacement air hose by itself. And both the kit and the pliers are made in the USA.

pretty "cool"... ha ha
had no problem popping together with my hands though it did give me a bit of fuss. twist and power down no other trick to it. if you are going to need to make different links and move it all the time don't bother with their wrench just buy another kit they're like the same price. i can't attest to air tightness or the plastic hose fitting - but wouldn't bet on it.i feed a 1/4" pneumatic hose through all the way to the end. i think it'd be nice if one of the bases weren't round so you could zip tie it to something but i'm going to make a mount anyways. works fine, prob will paint it black as quite the ugly/cheap looking color imo

Great point-of-application solution for liquid delivery
Used in combination with a wye attachment and some 1/4" clear tubing and inline GFCI to deliver stream of water to a DIY masonry saw setup. Worked like a charm cutting 20 linear feet in basement slab - zero dust! Saved myself $300 over buying a ready-made masonry saw. Now I can disassemble and repurpose into something else. Modular Loc-Line elements fit together nice and solid and retain their shape, while being easily manipulated into desired custom shapes. Zero leaks. I was able to make do without the dedicated tool for separating / attaching the "links" between modular loc-line elements but if you're going to have to work with this stuff a lot I'd highly recommend spending the $12 on the tool - these attachments are tight!

Special pliers & heat gun recommended
The 0.25” works great on my DeWalt scroll saw. I was reluctant to purchase the OEM part from the reviews and I’m so glad I bought this instead. I was able to easily snap on the arm to my machine after heating the first segment with a heat gun. For the second half of the arm (it comes in 2 pieces) and the nozzle it was nice to have the special clamp pliers. Comes with three different sized nozzles and I used the middle one.
