Evans Drum Heads - G2 Clear Tom Drumhead, 12 Inch

The new Evans G2 clear 360 outshine all in my opinion, even the old G2 clear. No flat punches or cheap overtones, just warm, full tonality. The harder you play, the more they sing. If you mix them for a live gig you will find other drummers asking you how you got them tuned and sounding so perfect. In fact, I still find myself playing fills and ignoring cymbals just because it's so fun to play the drums lol. Mine is a 7 piece PDP Concept Maple. With the F.A.S.T. sizing and the 360 heads it's near dummy proof for professional sound. I put Genera resonant heads on the flip. Tune the reso first!!! One word of advice for Amazon shoppers. Send a message to the seller and DOUBLE VERIFY that you're getting a 360 model and not the old G2. I ordered 12 heads for the set below and one seller sent me an older model 14 inch batter even though the website said it was clearly a 360. Now the stupid 14 inch tom batter sounds like crap and gets my OCD acting up. Honest mistake on the sellers part but still irritating. Sometimes sellers just google and hit copy/paste for descriptions. Do your homework.

The G2 series is an excellent comprise between Evans' single ply G1 heads and the Hydraulic line which employs a layer of oil to further dampen a 2 ply head. When properly tuned, these heads have great attack, a focused tone, and nice sustain. I use them on all of my toms, which are 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16 inches respectively and I don't need any tape, rings, gels, or any other dampening devices. These heads are perfect as long as you take the time to tune them to a pitch that properly matches the drum they're on and make sure that both heads on the drum match in pitch. I am a longtime semi-professional drummer, and I've tried most every drum head out there. Evans is, in my opinion, the only company you need to bother with. While the others rest on products that haven't changed in decades. Evans continues to develop new ways to make drums sound amazing.

First off, I mic my drums for Rock. The Evans G2 Clear sounded great but I needed a bit more control, especially on my 13" drum. I tried the G2 Coated and fell in love with these heads. I use them on all of my '70's Gretsch toms!

The Evans G2 clear drum head is a classic. Great attack and punch with a medium sustain. The patented Evans Level 360 Technology ensures a perfect fit allowing for ease of tuning. Great for Rock and Metal.

Replaced the stock Remo UK heads on my Ludwig CS Custom Elite Birch with a set of these (10-12-14) and wow, what a difference. The stock heads weren't horrible, but the punch these G2 clears have is incredible. They don't kill the tone like Pinstripes, but still give me a nice controlled sound. They tune easily and seem to have a wide usable range. I play a wide range of styles and these heads can handle them all. I've heard good things about the durability of these, but since I've only had them a few weeks I can't comment on that. As long as they last a while, I'll be very happy.

Replacement for my 16" floor tom batter head. All my toms. 12, 13, 14 and 16, now have G2 batter heads. Nice warm tone.

Van dos veces que pido este parche para toms 12" EVANS G2 y sale con ese pequeño orificio como de 2ml. en la parte inferior del lado derecho del parche , me preguntó si así es el diseño o está defectuoso el producto ??

Lo estoy usando en un Tom de 16 para percusión tradicional y suena con mucho cuerpo.
