ATV Towing Wiring Hitch Adapter

I purchased this for my 03 Arctic Cat 500. It didn't come with the sleeve style hitch so I put this on it. I bolted it on and also put a couple of welded tacks on it to make sure it doesn't move. Works great for using a cargo carrier during deer season to bring them home

This works just fine as a receiver, however despite a cheater bar and much effort I could never get it to stay straight when pulling my brush hog. Attempting to back up or maneuver would always swing the hitch hard that direction. Still got the job done but involved a lot of getting off the 4 wheeler and pulling the brush hog over the maneuver.

Purchased this to add to ATV to pull a Swisher rough cut trail mower. Of course like most reviews if not on a smooth surface it will turn and loosen. The bolt on "V" that should prevent it from turning is not 100% and will turn. The most interesting thing happened with me is that it was loose and I found out as I was driving down a hill on a road and slowed down and the arm turned and it wedged between the tire/rim. Let's just say it it actually bent around the bolt. For what it is worth the narrative does say for light weight use. Don't think we could have tightened it much more as we used a long wrench and a 14" pipe wrench. It is probably best to use the bolt and weld it on if you do not have other options depending on ATV type. It will probably be fine for use around the yard pulling a small yard trailer or yard sweeper.

aluminum would be better for a mower

Bought this to add to the 3/4" shank on my pickup's 2" tow ball. It will be used ONLY as a receptacle for my Kayak's carry-pole which has a 2"X2" shaft. It will never be used to mount any of the multitude of towing accessories available. Should you purchase this item to mount to your ATV or other offroad vehicle be sure to use flat washers, not included, under the lock washers, included, for the small bolts used to hold the anti-swivel plate in place.
