Lifesaver Post Double Mastectomy
After my double mastectomy, these shirts made accessing the drains so much easier. I bought another mastectomy shirt with drain pockets, but that was a front closing shirt that required me to move my arms to get it on and off. I can just step into this shirt and have my caretaker snap the shirt without having to move my arms. Also, the other shirt was cheaply made but cost nearly the same. This shirt is well made, and the material is high quality and soft, not cheap and scratchy like the mastectomy shirt. I’m glad I returned the other shirt and bought two of these. Definitely a good purchase. [I did not miss the drain pockets because i kept the drains pinned to the surgical bra just like they had them in the hospital.]

good quality cotton snap top
This is a good quality snap top. I recently had rotator cuff surgery and discovered snap tops. The quality is good with nice cotton that stays nice looking after washing. They run large for women so I went down a size and was still big. They are shaped for men and the snaps are a little to far apart, but the top still works well. I bought a couple of them. My sister bought a couple as well and has been happy with them.

Fabulous shirt, unfortunately way too big
This shirt is absolutely wonderful, except for the sizing. I bought a medium and it was gigantic on my husband. I wear a women's xl and the shirt fit me. Since there is no size small offered, I had to send it back and look for another brand. Unfortunately, there really aren't any other shirts on Amazon with this quality or clean look. The smaller snaps make the seams more discrete and the shirt looks just like a regular t-shirt. The fabric is soft and comfortable. I will be keeping an eye out for the seller to offer a size small.

Shoulder Surgery Must
I have 3 of these shirts and lived in them day and night for 6 weeks after my shoulder, bicep and hand surgery. Now 9 weeks post-op, I’m still wearing these Inspired Comforts shirts to physical therapy twice a week. While I was in a bulky sling for 5 weeks, I would keep the good arm side snapped and the bad arm side unsnapped and step into the shirt, pulling it up over my legs, sliding my good arm through the snapped arm and snapping the bad arm side from the neck half-way down. I liked being able to have the portion of my arm that was in a sling with a constricting carpal tunnel splint, free of a shirt sleeve because my arm tended to get hot in the sling. I’m 4”11 and 107 pounds and ordered Mediums. The shirts were long and big but with swelling and all of the discomfort associated with my surgery, I think Mediums worked out fine. The material is stretchy and holds up well with VERY frequent washing. The seams are finished well without a bunch of loose strings and the snaps are secure. Yes, people could tell I was wearing Adaptive clothing, but my main priority during a painful recovery has been comfort, functionality and some semblance of independence. Now out of the sling for a month and able to move my bad arm more freely, I can keep the sleeves on these shirts snapped and slide my bad arm through the sleeve first and then stretch the neck hole over my head, sliding the good arm in last. So these Inspired Comforts shirts really do “adapt” to accommodate many different types of medical situations and in some cases, all the way through different phases of recuperation. These shirts have proven invaluable and this painful experience would have been so much more difficult without them. At this point, I’ll probably order a size Small for physical therapy.

This was perfect for my shoulder surgery
The snaps make it easy for PT or the Doc access my shoulder, plus it was a wonder for getting undressed or sponge bathing.
