Strong 1/16" 2mm Round Waxed Shoe, Boot Laces

I had trouble finding skinny round laces for my golf shoes. When I finally found them on Amazon I was thrilled. When I got them they fit my shoes great. The plastic on the ends were kind of junkie and I had a hard time getting them in the holes but they work. However after wearing the shoes for about three times I’ve noticed that the shoelaces are starting to shred!! They are supposed to be waxed but they’re still starting to shred. I would not recommend This product.

The wax end of the lace was too large and could not be forced through the eyelet. Make sure (somehow) that this is really what you want. Return process is onerous as it is in UK, including charge of air ship which is almost half the price of the product. Return process also asks for numerical identifiers that I can't find anywhere in the return paperwork. For example, it asks for a ***USAMZ*** number that I can't find anywhere in the return labelling. I assume it exists, but I can't find it. The bottom line on returning, is that it is questionable if it can and should be returned given the cost and ambiguity of the information and mailing charges. (from USA).More importantly, is the fit itself. All of this issue could of been avoided if the waxed ends were the size as advertised. I'm guessing, but it almost looks like the waxed ends were heat welded together under pressure leaving a parting line larger than the diameter advertised, and then the lace wouldn't fit because of that parting line where the wax pieces join. I have a pair of competitive laces, actually sized larger, that fit in the small eyelet because the waxed ends are not oversized. In that respect, it is a defective product.As I write this, I have decided I will probably not return it. It simply isn't worth my time, frustration when I invariably do it wrong because I can't find the right numbers, and I'll buy the competitive product.

Here's why I love these laces:They're thinner than 1/8" (3mm diameter) laces which is more akin to oxford laces, but they come in boot length (72") which is extremely hard to find. So far, they've held up and are better laces than what my Dr. Martens Leona boots came with.It turns out Leona's need very specialized lace sizing because previously, I had ordered a 1/8" skinny boot lace that was just too thick for my boot. It was hard to get it through the metal eyelets for my boots, and they were too thick to tighten, loosen, and tie off. Most laces that are thinner than that are for oxfords and only go up to 54" at the most, but the Leona is also a taller boot and needs 72". If you happen to be in a similar situation to me, and you need a very thin lace that is boot length, this is probably your best (and maybe only as far as Amazon 2021 goes) shot.

These laces seem to be strong which is why I wanted the waxed. However, they are very small in diameter. It looks like the description is accurate but if you're like me and don't have a good grasp on measurements, know that they are small. They still work for my husband's boots and we bought them mostly for style. Time will tell how they hold up. One minor issue - don't purchase these if you need them soon. It took so long for them to arrive I almost forgot about them.

I replaced a broken pair of shoelaces on some ankle boots. They worked out perfect.

The item is manufactured well but the diameter of the lace is very narrow. Really not made for the heavy duty packers that I put them on. the photos make the laces look fatter than they actually are. They have recently added the diameter of 2mm in the description line which helps if you are into metrics. A non metric measurement would help with us old codgers who have spent a life trying to ignore metrics.

Laces fit my boots...The only thing I didn't like was it's difficult to keep them tied because they are waxed laces....But I just double knot them....Glad I found them....Super fast shipping...Came within 2 weeks of ordering. Way earlier than the estimated delivery date...I was so excited.. Thank you..

These were OK......very thin laces which I did not expect. Picture of item could be clearer. Could use if in a pinch. Will keep looking for decent white laces.

These are nice laces, and a perfect colour match, but not quite long enough, they often slip out the end eyes when i am fastening my boots. Great value.

As described and laces appear good. Only slight downside is the aglets have a ridge and don't appear brilliant quality - time will tell

Absolutely perfect laces for my brogues after my old one snapped. Great length too - not too long or short great product for the money, will definitely be buying again.

The laces are fine but the ends are squashed out sideways.

The plastic covering at the ends is so thick it won’t fit through the eyelets.
