Classic Creative Bricks 10692 Building Blocks, Learning Toy (221 Pieces)

This set of bricks is great for kids to make their own creations or add on to another existing set. Kids love Legos. They make a great gift and last well enough to pass down through the generations of your family. My granddaughter plays with her dad's old Legos. He is now 44 year old; she is 11. Then, they were also usedbyy hundreds of my students when I was teaching third grade full-time. I let the kids use them when they had inside recess do to rain or cold weather. I say this to describe how durable they are. After hundreds of kids, over a twenty-five year span, the Legos are still in great shape.

In the late '70's, I grew up with Legos and have fond memories of weekends spent building with my brother using his suitcase full of Legos. As an adult, I could not believe how Legos had gone from a "use your imagination" toy to a specific project collection. Disgusted by this, I never bought them for my children until now. My daughter received some for her birthday and all 5 of my children have had such fun creating different things, that I ordered this box for another birthday gift. Now everyone wants to use birthday money to buy more! We have boys and girls so the pink and purple blocks are fine, but I can see how boys might not appreciate them. Legos should make a collection of basic colors and one of secondary, more "girly" colors. We have a clear Rubbermaid box to keep them in, so the cardboard of this box is not a big deal. But I agree with others that it would have been a plus for it to be plastic. Also, there are 220 blocks, which is a good start, but the box is way bigger and can be deceiving. If they were going to make the box so big as to allow for more pieces to be added, the box should be plastic. But over all, this is a great item and I recommend them to children of all ages!

I feel like this little set is under-appreciated. Our family purchased this set, the two Classic Creative Supplements ( LEGO Classic Creative Supplement & LEGO Classic Creative Bright Supplement ), and the LEGO Classic Medium Creative Brick Box to create Lego goodie bags for my son's birthday party and I feel this set holds its own in terms of variety, colors, and mini-builds. First, if you are able to purchase this set a little below retail ($16.99) its an equal value (price per brick) as the two Supplements set. Even at retail it is a fair value when compared to any licensed Lego set price per brick. Second, the images of this set show only HALF the pieces included. The box is small (does it matter? I don't keep assorted pieces in the original container; they go onto the epic lego pile which is the kids' room) and the printing of the included pieces is on two sides of the package. That is because there are few repeat pieces and a GREAT variety for a small set. There are 2 types of wheels, a plastic door and window, plates (including a fair sized green plate), propellers, and slanted roof bricks. Plus there are Lego eyes! Sweet. The mini-builds are all small but so is the set. And its still fun to see how few bricks it requires to make a complete animal (only 10 bricks for a cute sheep!). And though they are simple I was sad to give up the pencil and eraser into the goodie bags. If you can pick this up at a discount, even 10%, this set is worth the price.

🟥🟧🟨 There’s not much you can say about legos as they’re pretty standard and not much can go wrong with them as they’re very sturdy. However, what I disliked is there wasn’t very many good pieces that my grandson actually could use. There was a lot of pinks and such and he was needing things to build superheroes, cars, and such, and well, this lego box didn’t suffice, hence my 3⭐️s for value for the money. I wouldn’t recommend this box solely for the reasons indicated above. However, if you don’t mind having those types of pieces and don’t need them for your 6-year old son/grandson, then, I would recommend. Shipping was fast and on time for his birthday, though. 🟩🟦⬛️

I bought these for my nephews 6th birthday. He loved them and immediately played with them. I was a bit disappointed in the size of the kit but for the price is was fair. This set comes with an instruction book and has the pieces to make cool unique builds. He made a pencil and flower pretty easily. Even my 12 year old niece was playing with these with him. This kit comes with a variety of colors, not the standard lego colors. There was a lot of pinks and purples mixed in. It also includes several oddly shaped pieces used for specific builds. If you are looking for standard lego pieces to bulk up your set this is not the kit for you. I gave him this and a few Star Wars Lego sets plus a large clear plastic snap close container to keep them all in. He was very happy with this as a gift.

My children have been collecting and playing with Legos for more than ten years, and sometimes it seems like I can't move a piece of furniture without finding Legos underneath. But this box had something we did not have. Almost all of our Legos come from sets that were intended to build a specific project. This box is different. Though it comes with a booklet with building suggestions, this is a toy for more open ended play. It has quite a few creative pieces. My younger children especially enjoyed the eye studs, some open some closed. It does not have only or even mainly plain rectangular bricks. Instead it has a wide ranging variety of pieces that can be used in a seemingly infinite number of creative ways.There is plenty of space left in the box, so you can use it a storage container, and add Legos from other more specific sets to this box as your collection grows. I recommend this, either as a staring place for a new Lego collection, or to fill in some missing gaps and add a burst of creativity to your current collection.

Good quality and colorful bricks. Great way to keep the children engaged.

Son piezas clásicas de Lego, no hay ninguna falla de la cual quejarse. El empaque es de cartón con tapa de plástico, no es tan resistente tal vez como los set mayores, pero por el precio está muy bien. Llegó en excelente condición, venía muy bien sellado con dos grandes cinchos de plástico y como siempre enviado en una caja de Amazon con protección antigolpes. A mi sobrina le encantaron, es su primer set de Legos y ya quiere más y más; se puede pasar horas jugando con ellos.

I have always been a big advocate of Lego products but this one disappointed me. The only reason I bought this was because of the trademark Lego plastic box. It was only when the product arrived that we found that only the top lid was made of plastic whereas the bottom part was made of cardboard. I had seen the same product in other countries and the complete box was made of plastic. On enquiring the customer service took us for a ride. First they informed me about the benefits of using the plastic tray which is not at all what I had asked for. I even sent them pictures of another product I had bought in the past for their reference (which was a bigger sized one). But they replied saying that I had in fact got a bigger and more expensive product, the box of which was completely made of plastic! Although the pieces inside are of good quality, it would have been better if the seller was more transparent. No harm in saying that the products available in India are designed that way (if that is the case).

Just a regular lego kit. Lots to build. Was fun to play with. Not as much as expected but was good nonetheless. Used as a tooth fairy gift for a candy exchange and my daughter was excited.

though i was warned i still found the pieces are way too small!
