It’s nice to buy something that does what it’s supposed to do and gives you something extra too. I thought I would have to go the store to buy a leader hose because I needed at least five feet and the last hose reel I bought only about three feet. This reel came with a six foot leader hose in the box. Nice surprise! I didn’t have time to mount it for a couple of weeks so I used it on the stand as is and it worked really well. Some people might decide just to do that and not mount it all. But I did finally have a few minutes of extra time and that’s all it took to mount it. All the mounting hardware is included, including lubricant to use when attaching the reel to the base part that mounts to the wall. Everything is here. And the most important thing is that, unlike the last reel I had, this one is very stable to operate. There’s no wobbling around where it attaches to the base. It holds two fifty-foot hoses. Having two hoses connected together is very convenient sometimes. It’s easily removable for winter storage and it doesn’t leak either. There are more expensive hose reels out there, but for $40, you can’t beat this one.

I recently purchased the "Liberty Basics 510 Wall Mount Hose Reel, Bronze," and I must say, it's a pretty solid product, meriting a strong four-star rating. Let's start with the minor hiccup - my package arrived with a missing screw. Now, before you raise your eyebrows, let me assure you, it's not a deal-breaker. The reel holds up just fine with the remaining three screws, and I'm not particularly miffed about it. However, it's worth noting that missing parts seem to be a bit of a pattern with this product, as echoed by other reviews I've come across. This is the primary reason I'm holding back that one star. Installation was a breeze, especially on wood. I went ahead and created pilot holes, and I'm happy to report that the screws were robust - no breakages there. A little side note - I'm using this hose reel for a slightly unconventional purpose. Instead of a garden hose, it's currently housing a 50-foot 1.25" wide vacuum extension hose. I did have to trim the hose a bit for a neater fit, but the reel manages the job admirably. As for its traditional role in dispensing water, I can't really comment on that - I haven't tested it for leaks or anything of that sort. Quality-wise, I'm quite satisfied. The reel is sturdy and does a great job of storing my vacuum hose. I'd recommend this product, but with a slight word of caution regarding the potential for missing parts. It's surprising, considering I bought it from a reputable seller like Amazon.com Services, Inc., that such an issue persists. But, to reiterate, it didn't hamper the functionality for my specific use case. If you're in the market for a hose reel, and can overlook the small chance of an incomplete set, this one's definitely worth considering.

Follow the directions, make sure everything is snapped together solidly and the hose fittings are tight and you will have a well engineered hose reel cart. You will probably have to use some force to get some pieces to fit together correctly, but I had no problem with breakage as it is very sturdy. It rolls smoothly and the hose reels in easily. I had no leaks and am very pleased with this cart.

We have had this mounted to the side of our house since June 2023 and now March 2026 (so less than 3 years) the inside where the water flows is cracked beyond repair… very unfortunate

Works good, but if it freezes, it cracks the water inlet. You can fix it with JB weld, but need to unhook the hose and drain it if it freezes.

The tight available distance of less than 5 feet to my hose bibb made it impractical to wind the hose in a perpendicular direction with just any hose reel system. The parallel orientation (which I have available over 100 feet in both directions) to the installed Liberty Basics 510 Wall Mount Hose Reel provides for a neat, organized hose retrieval and storage of my 100 feet garden hose. Installation was easy, but per instructions, I had to grease the primary hose fitting. No leaks so far. The integral handle on the reel makes it relatively easy to wind and align the heavy hose for storage. As a seasonal bonus, the reel's release system will make it simple to remove the winded hose for winter storage in the house. I am hopeful that the Liberty Basics 510 Wall Mount Hose Reel will last season after season. Time will tell.
