Blauberg UK Turbo-E 150 T in- Line Extractor Fan with Timer, Grey

There are lots of these sort of fans on amazon, and I hoped that by buying a German one, I'd be buying quality. I think this is completely under engineered. Mine arrived broken because the mounting lugs are four small plastic pins that have to carry the entire weight of the centre section fan. The packaging holds the ends of the unit, not the central fan, so these 4 small pins carry the force every time someone drops the box. I fixed mine with low temperature moulding plastic, but it made it difficult to mount. It's not quiet - a bit like a vacuum cleaner in the next room. I was replacing a 43dbA small fan with this - website description says 44dBa. It is much noisier than that. In fact, there is a Euro Energy 'Label' inside that says 64dB. It also says 400m3/h which is quite a bit lower than the website claim of 520 m3/h. Maybe all the others are the same, but this one is too much cheap plastic.

The fan itself can move a lot of air and is relatively quiet for the colume of air. However i found its performance dropped rapidly once connected into the ducting and was not up to the job. I returned and purchased a different design of fan that works better.

Used for extraction in a room with no windows. Used for a few hours a day and some days not at all. Has died after 11 months. Dont think I would buy another or recoomend this product.
