Pleatco Cartridge Filter PA100 100 SqFt Hayward Star Clear II C1100 CX1100RE w/Lid O-Ring

I have no idea what's going on with this filter, but the second I turned on my pump the back-pressure gauge instantly spiked into the red zone. So I took it out and cleaned it thinking maybe there was just some manufacturing residue on it or something, put it back in, and ... same thing. Put the old filter back in, and everything returned to normal. So I sprayed a ton of filter cleaner on this new filter, let it sit overnight, rinsed it off and installed it the next morning and it was a little better but still not flowing anywhere near the volume it should have been (back-pressure still much higher than it should be)Then I went to try to return it, and it looks like the seller will charge me a 50% "restocking" fee and return shipping, which will work out to damn near what I paid for the filter in the first place. Sooooo whatever ... I guess I'm eating this one. But I will never deal with Pleatco products nor this seller ever again!
