I purchase this to rip open electrical wiring, but did not realize its much more, It can wire strip, cut off the plastic shielding, and bend shepherds hooks. I ended up using this tool more than any other. I highly recommend this. It will save you a lot of time and effort

This is one of the best small tools I have ever purchased. I have had it for about a year now and I wanted to write this review. This thing strips Romex outer case with ease. I have stripped 14,12,and 10 gauge solid copper wire with ease. It also tightens wired nuts for those gauges. It is just a pleasure to use. I recommend this device for pros and DIYers. It is handy device that is small, light weight and priced right. It is easy to store and takes up very little room in my tool box. It doesn't replace all wiring tools, but is surely has many uses. Get one!

I was able to strip the sheathing off of full rolls of 14/2 and 12/2 with ease and without any damage to the conductors.

I really like this little tool. The reason I've only given it four stars is that I feel I have to save the instructions and carry them with it because the use of all the functions it performs isn't intuitive for me and they just aren't sticking in my brain like most tools' use does. Just a little too tricky for its own good. Maybe if I used it for a big wiring project they would stick.I was a little surprised by its light weight, but so far it has held up well. I was just expecting it to be a little stouter a build. I definitely feel I got my money's worth.

I found this difficult to use. However a friend helping me wire my basement lights did find it useful. One has to be careful when pushing the wire through to cut the sheathing on the electrical cable. It can easily push into your hand if not held correctly, and then can also get held up by the paper around the ground cable. My friend found this very useful, but he was also careful to not push it into his hand. Note that one cuts the sheathing going into the cable not pulling away. I don't like that it puts a little indent into the wire when stripping the wire for a connection not a big deal just not something I like. I will put it back in the box and give it to Restore to sell since I don't need it anymore. Reasonably priced and was helpful that is why 3 stars

Great Tool, efficient , strips Romex so fast.

Very easy to use and comes in handy for stripping wires already in a box.

I had specifically bought this tool because it advertised that it can strip "FLAT WIRE..." I do a lot of work on repairing, and replacing appliance electric cords, which is primarily made up of "FLAT WIRE..." I'd normally cut into the flat wire with a razorblade. When I've seen this tool, I thought that it would make the job go a whole lot easier. Needless to say I was wrong. This tool was a complete waste of my time, and money. After trying unsuccessfully to strip the wire jacket; I ended up having to go back to using a razorblade. Because of this tool I'm not sure if I have it in me to want to take a chance on purchasing a different flat wire stripper, unless I can see one being used in the field and actually working.
