My 9-year-old Whirlpool WED86HEBC0 began squeaking a few weeks ago. I disassembled it to see what was wrong and found that the tensioner pulley was seized and the belt was looking really shiny from slipping. Just disassembling this machine takes about an hour, so it's not an easy task at all. I didn't have replacement parts at the time, so I ordered this kit and oiled the tensioner pully and all of the drum rollers with white lithium spray lube and reassembled the machine. Oiling the pully and rollers was a big mistake. It worked great for about 2 weeks and then started squeaking much worse than before. Luckily, by then this kit had arrived, so I installed everything. Here are some tips.- Very thoroughly wipe off the axles for the tensioner pulley and drum rollers before installing the new parts.- Do NOT oil or grease the tensioner pulley or drum rollers!- The new drum rollers are an exact fit on the old roller axles. The tolerances are so tight that they were difficult to install, but once I got the rollers started onto the shafts on they fit perfectly.- Those little triangle clips are very difficult to install on the back sides of each of the drum rollers. Consider leaving the factory clips on the back side of the rollers in place if they are in good condition. Just remove and replace the clips on the front side so you can remove and replace the rollers.- The belt that comes with this kit is actually wider than the factory belt for my machine, but, the factory belt was actually too narrow for the pulley on the motor and the tensioner pulley while the belt that came with this kit fits perfectly. Go figure.- Check the felt drum seals and if they're starting to wear, replace them while you have the machine disassembled.

I was able to use this kit to repair a Whirlpool Duet dryer from 2005 that had recently started to make squealing noises when drying. The Duet dryer drum is completely supported by just four rollers like the ones in this kit. There is also a pulley that puts tension on the belt. Since taking the dryer apart takes some time, it is a good idea to just replace all the wearable parts while it is open. The parts are very cheap compared to buying a new dryer.I was able to get through the whole process of replacing the pulley, belt, and rollers in less than two hours. However, I found a great YouTube video which went through the whole thing step by step. Without the video this would have been a difficult repair due to the number of pieces that needs to be removed in the right order to get the drum out.My only criticism of this kit is the plastic triangle fasteners. They were much tighter than the original ones that were already in my dryer. You will need a small, flathead screw driver and some patience to put on the first triangle for each roller axle. The triangle gets stuck in the first slot at the top of the axel, and then it needs to be gently pushed back out of that slot without snapping it so it can make it to the slot at the base of the axle. All of mine survived the process, but you may want to keep a few triangles from the old parts just in case one of the new ones breaks when putting them on.So far my dryer has been running "like new" since I replaced all of these wearable parts.

I asked PartzBroz if this would fit my Maytag 3000 series dryer (MEDE300VW) and they replied it would NOT fit my dryer. I had already bought it when I posted the question. I purchased it based on the part number which I was told was the correct part number. So I went ahead and purchased the IKSA optional well as they said that their part would in fact be right for my dryer. Keep in mind both were sold under the SAME part number. Now I have two sets. Neither worked. So I had to get creative. A little degreaser on the idler pulley shaft and cleaned it. A little Emory cloth around the shaft to take a little material off ever so slightly. I did a gentle 120 grit, 240, 400, and finished off with 800 grit. And with a bit of a fight the idler pulley went on. The PartzBroz pulley went on with little effort. Whereas the IKSA option (a few dollars cheaper) was still fighting me. So I ended up using this item (PartzBroz) on my dryer and it seems to be working great. So why did they say it wouldn’t work when this item matches the part number? It is a great value for money and super easy to do. Just take your time, take pictures of what you disconnect, and it will go back together easy. Now my dryer has a new lease of life!

Durable and great price

This part was an exact replacement for a belt tensioner that was seizing and squeaking. Identified defect by consulting manual inside dryer bottom panel and tested by spraying with oil to ensure noise stopped.Ordered and replaced part for permanent repair. Relatively easy replacement, except having to work by feel.

The part was a perfect match to the factory part and arrived quickly.

Fit our Whirlpool Duet without issue(s). I have replaced several of these kits, idler rollers, etc... on our, Whirlpool Duel Steam dryer. I though they were breaking because of, quality.PLEASE CHECK your dryer motor belt pulley that is attached to the motor and drives this belt if you are breaking belts a lot. Good insurance while you have the dryer apart. That was our issue. There are a ton of videos on how to change the pulley and drive belt. The motor drive pulley was worn down on our dryer and created and sharp edge, cutting the belts over time. I replaced our pulley, along with this belt and, knock on wood no issues since.

It is a drive belt for a dryer and it fits my dryer which is a Canada-only model Kenmore 110.8986294. It’s a standard size kind of part, so it fits a lot of machines. I’d recommend it. I’ve run the dryer for about five loads since installing the belt and haven’t had any issues.A bit of advice though, for anyone else taking apart a dryer for the first time: really jam the drum back in there and hold it very firmly while you attach the front panel, and tighten those bolts good and snug so the drum doesn’t end up sort of loose and wobbly.Also, watch a video on YouTube. I watched one from AppliancePartsPro from a decade ago, and it covered all the finicky bits you’re likely to run into. Watch it all the way through before starting and have your phone close by so you can rewatch whilst on the floor trying to remember which way to put the belt through the idler pulley.

Really not in the position to replace our dryer in the apartment as we're moving this year. It was a hand-me-down and it's well over 15 years old (though the MIL would argue this fact).The dryer would shake and make a horrible thumping sound.After careful research we ordered this (after being told by a repair man that this was not repairable). My spouse installed the new part, it took no more than an hour. Most of the time was cleaning underneath. The old part that was causing the issue was a metal washer gear that had been worn down and there was metal dust everywhere.So if you replace anything, please be careful and wear a mask & eye protection!There's lots of videos online to help wal you through the process.This was about 6 months ago and it's working great!. No longer waking up the neighbours while doing a load in the dryer.
