I'm an adult male. I needed this to protect an ear that was healing up after getting cauliflower ear from brazillian jiujitsu. My head is on the small side, and the large was too big. Medium fits perfectly. If your a grown man and you don't have a big head, get the medium.

Fits great on my son

I find the fit to be off. I can't seem to get the chin strap as the picture suggests it should be. Maybe I don't have the back correctly situated. It's hard to tell. The problem I'm having is, I think, a common one. In other words, I'm having trouble getting the helmet on and on correctly. Maybe I am not doing it right? That's hard to tell, also. Best of luck to anyone who is trying to get the helmet on correctly!!!!!!!!The idea of it is great. I need the protection that the helmet theoretically offers. I just hope it works as it says it does. Otherwise, I'm in deep do-do.I got one that fit. However, it did not protect me when I fell down backwards on cement. I got a subdural hematoma, or bruise on my brain. That led to other problems, which caused me to be in a 24-hour care facility needing a walker because of the concussion I had. I also had real vision problems for a while and still have balance issues two months later.
