The Flying Bath

This book kind of grows on you
I bought this originally because it was a Julia Donaldson and we have most of her books and my kids love them. When we first read it I was not that impressed it was very basic and the plot is only so so. However after reading it a few times my kids suddenly really took to it and love the bath rhyme and always join in with the "wings out and off we fly, the flying bath is in the sky". I would say give this book a go as it does grow on you. I would say though this is more suitable for a younger reader. My kids are 2 and 4 and my 2 year old thiks this is a great book. My 4 year old is probably a bit too old for this but plays along with her sister. I would say sort of 1.5-3 age range maximum.

The flying bath has got a date most nights..
I think this story is great! Simple and repetitive, which my son and most children love! I'm an early years worker and books are my thing! My 27 month old is a book lover too luckily and is getting into quite complex stories, but this is a firm favourite already a week in. My son is able to see through this story, how it's good to help others and in return how to reciprocate kindness.

We love the book
Ours 3,5 year old loves it! When I got it and after we read it first time I thought it will be one of those wrong buys as it’s a great sort and illustrations but a bit simple and short. I thought too simple and boring for our little one but it seems to be quite a favourite especially that he knows all the words by heart now! He giggles every time we read it together so after all a very good buy!

Recycled Zog & the flying doctors
Lovely illustrations, but sadly a bit of a flat storyline. It feels like Julia Donaldson has recycled Zog and the flying doctors here, very lazy writing.

such a fun book!
such a fun book!!! :) :) baby and i love stories by Julia Donaldson. They are usually great, just the right length for before baby gets distracted, and are always very well illustrated. The paper quality is good too, and holds up the baby's smacks when he gets excited about the story. i love the big size, since it helps better envelope baby in the story. overall we've enjoyed reading this book.

Fun to read
Really cute pictures and fun, rhyming story. Lots going on in every illustration so you can spend time looking at everything or you can make it shorter by just reading it as it's written... depending on how long bedtime is taking! My 2 year old son loves it enough that we're getting it for a friend.

The Flying Bath missed the airport
I am a fan of Julia Donaldson and have just about all of her books. I had to re read this a few times before I could "get" it. I am not sorry I bought it but am disappointed.
