Great for the experienced thinker !
Such a great book. Most certainly not for the simple minded. I believe it requires a certain level of comprehensive ability to really get into this work.

Great Book
You need to understand dense, deeply intellectual writing in philosophy, not for beginners

Ideal for self-study or classroom use
This book provides a great way to study Hume's moral philosophy. It includes the entirety of Hume's "Enquiry concerning the Principles of Morals," very substantial portions of his "Treatise of Human Nature," and a selection of key essays on morality, politics, and art. The editor (Sayre-McCord) is an expert on Hume and contemporary meta-ethics. His introduction provides a crisp, clear, and helpful overview of Hume's ethics, as well as a useful list of additional readings. It would be hard to beat this book for the price. It's a nearly perfect entry point for the study of Hume's moral philosophy.

... David Hume's work is rewarding but it is not easy at all
Reading David Hume's work is rewarding but it is not easy at all. One needs an edition that helps him in so difficult a task. I think this edition does help the reader a lot.
