Dermatitis, Eczema solution
I can't compare one Dead Sea Salt brand to another because this is the first I have ever purchased. Heard about the benefits before and always wanted to get some, but never had a particular reason, especially since I already use regular sea salt, epsom, and himalayan salt for scrubs and mineral baths. I got this because I recently began to suffer with seborrheic dermatitis and I read several blogs/articles touting the benefits of washing your face with Dead Sea Salts to clear the red, flaky skin patches. I was dubious of this salt when it arrived as it seemed very... well "un-saltlike" I suppose. It didnt smell the same as salt typically does and it made water milky, and I got some in my mouth and it wasn't salty, just chemical or metal tasting. I used it anyway- gave it the benefit of the doubt- and I am SO GLAD that I did. My dermatitis has almost entirely cleared up and it stays gone as long as I continue the regimen. Tried briefly to switch back to Cetaphil for whatever reason and it only took the course of two days before the redness and flaking returned. I looked up A LOT of info on Dead Sea Salt and it turns out that it is only 10% sodium and 90% is made up of magnesium and other minerals which is why its not terribly "salty". As I said in the beginning, I can't really provide comparative insight, just personal experience and if you have an issue similar to mine then you'll be pleased!

He had a terrible flareup a couple days before I ordered this product
I bought this to use for my dog's seborrheic dermatitis. He had a terrible flareup a couple days before I ordered this product. I had shaved his belly and chest and had used a chlorhexidine and phytosphingosine salicyloyl shampoo which works pretty good, but I have to shampoo the area for several days in a row, and the area was still red and scaly. I dissolved the dead sea salt in water and used a wash cloth to create a wet compress. It only took 1 treatment with the dead sea salt to make a huge difference. The skin is now healthy looking and the scales are almost completely gone. There is still one area that he has been bothering, so I will treat that again. It also cleared up a hot spot on his hip. I am very happy with this product. I am also going to soak my hands in the dead sea salt solution which are sore with mild arthritis and overuse. I usually use epsom salts, but this product has several minerals instead of just one, so it should work better for soreness.

This is a very good skin softening agent
This is a very good skin softening agent. I was walking through the mall and a store clerk stopped me and invited me into his store to try this amazing product. He had me rub my hands together and wash them. My hands were as soft as a baby's. He told me that it was because of the dead sea salts. I was sold until he told me that the jar was 150.00. So I cam home and did my research and made it myself for less than 26 ...and much more product. I mix it with castor oil, almond oil and grapeseed , rub my hands together as in an effort to exfoliate/ scrub, then wash it off.The salts work like mineral or epsom salts and are very relaxing in bath. But best of all, I mix with brown sugar and a little grapeseed oil, rub on my face as an exfoliant, rinse and ...magic. My face was so soft and beautiful. Over time old acne scars have lightened up and my skin is baby smooth

Solved Seborrhea Problem
This has been THE solution for my facial seborrhea. I remove eye makeup with specialized remover and use this for the rest. It easily removes my mineral makeup, leaves my skin soft, and I have not had a single breakout since I began using it. I would give 5 stars except that the coarseness can vary from one bag to the next, and it takes some swishing to dissolve in water. Those probably can't be avoided, but they do affect convenience. If you have a skin condition, try this instead of never-ending medicinal treatments; it just might work for you!

Have been using for almost a Year
I have been using Your Natural Planet Dead Sea Salt-5lb Bag for several months. I have used other varieties before , but for price and amount you get , this is an awesome deal. After a severely stressful time in my life , I developed Anxiety-induced Dermatitis/Eczema break-outs. They come and go and I use Cortizone Cream as well during this time and oatmeal masks until it goes away ; I then return to using my natural skin and hair routine. I exfoliate with sugar first(gently) until my skin is smooth , then soak for 15-20 minutes in Dead Sea Salt bath. I NEVER scrub my skin! I use CeraVE Body Cream(unscented and full of ceramides). I wear only cotton or other breathable , natural fibers.

OK It Is What It Is
It's just what they say it is. Have used this a lot for scalp issues (Seborreic Dermatitus). It does not, "cure" the condition. Can't say it even helps it in any significant or measurable fashion. It can be an alternative to shampoos and all the "ingredients" they contain but I would suggest it may not be in your best interests to use this every day as I have seen my hair become more dry with increased fall-out but that can be age, season and condition related; not sure. I'm not a fan of the packaging as its just a thicker baggie type thing with the line inside the groove sealing which is a minor inconvenience. If you do keep and use this in your shower area, make sure to seal the bag as the salt will clump up due to moisture in the room. I've used two products like this. They seem to be the same.

Psoriasis, Mosquito & Fire Ant Bites - really helps!
I purchased this for my psoriasis, but when I got it I was also suffering from mosquito and fire ant bites. I soaked in the bath several times and it has helped with the psoriasis and also gives me temporary relief from the itching bug bites and my skin started feeling softer right after the first bath. I normally take showers, but now I also try to take a relaxing bath in the salts prior to bed for relief and a good nites sleep. It really is amazing how soft it makes your skin right away. Will definately continue this product.

It seemed okay. This is the first time using ...
It seemed okay. This is the first time using dead sea salt. It is supposed to help with eczema but my son came out of the bath with bumps all over and his eczema was unaffected. I assume he has an allergy to the dead sea salt. I will stay with Epsom salt for him. When I used it, it seemed to make the water softer. I did not see a significant different with my skin after use versus Epsom salt. I would purchase it again. I did not have any other issues or concerns with it.
