I came across this during an internet search and decided to give it a try on my aluminum propeller spinners. Let me just say, this stuff is straight-up amazing. My airplane lives outside, and as you can see from the pics, the spinners get weathered, oxidized, and generally very nasty. Polishing shops charge me ~$125 each to polish the spinners, and I’m tired of paying that since the new shine only lasts about 6 months. I decided to take matters into my own hands.In the past I’ve tried Simichrome and Mothers. Both resulted in hours of polishing by hand, with awful results. With this 2-part product, I wiped on the deoxidizer, let it dry for a minute, and immediately applied the purple polish. I spent roughly 30 minutes on each spinner and they came out flawless. I used 1/3 of the bottle of deoxidizer and a little more than 1/2 of the bottle of purple polish to do the whole job. Some key suggestions:1) the green liquid deoxidizer companion product (also available on Amazon) is absolutely required. The polish is not nearly as effective without it.2) the purple polish is dependent on its suspended abrasives, which break down as you lightly polish; so don’t be shy with the polish. Slathering a large amount on and rubbing with very light effort, until the friction goes away, is sufficient. If there’s no friction, you’re done...it doesn’t matter how hard you rub, you’re no longer polishing at that point. Better to use lots of purple. It also helped to work in smaller (8-12” x 4” or so) sections.3) the mess of polish that you apply will generate a ton of black, goopy nastiness. This is a good thing; it’s oxidation you’re removing. But wear your grubby clothes, and some disposable nitrile or latex gloves.4) Make sure you have a good supply of clean, soft detailing towels on hand in addition to the application rags and first-pass oxidation/polish removal towels. A final quick buff with a clean towel is what really brings out the shine.I’m a convert. $30 and 60 minutes saved me $220 - and I can touch up the shine whenever I want.

I use this for the polished aluminum wheels on my Harley. Brings them back to a mirror like surface using a polishing tool for a drill. Cleans up easy as well. I went four stars because I think it is a bit pricey but works well.

If I remember correctly, we used to use this at the Kentucky Horse Park to polish the tack at the Big Barn and name plates of horses at the Hall of Champions eheb I worked there. We called it "the Purple Stuff".I recently remembered it and bought some, very much glad that I did! Look how it has made my Menorah shine! This is hands down the best aluminum polish I've ever used. And it lasts forever. I did 100 square feet of diamond plate with one bottle and still have some left over. Use with the deoxidizer or Napa aluminum brightener before the polish and it's super easy with good results.

We use this product to polish the metal railings on our boat. Shines it up very nicely.

I was very surprised by how well Purple cleans. This was the easiest way I have found to polish aluminum. The wheels I used it on were on a 2018 Freighter that look brand new now.
