Gear Head USB 2.0 Speakers for Home/Office, Red (SP1800RED)

I have had these for a couple of months and they do not work any more.

I bought these speakers as an affordable option for my work computer to occasionally listen to radio after hours, etc. The red color speakers were on discount - around $10. That's about the quality you get. These work fine at relatively low volume, like for background music while sitting at your desk. They tend to give some background static past 50% volume, but for what I use them for, that is not a problem.. Sound is not out of this world, but that was not what I was looking for or expected for $10. If you want a decent pair of different looking speakers to just give some background sound, these are great. If you are looking for something to delivery great music quality, high volume or a use for gaming, look for something else.The four stars is because they met my expectations on price vs, performance, not because they are great speakers.

Sound like $10.00 speakers. Okay to listen to talk radio in office. Nothing else.If you want to listen to music spend a little more.

I was impressed with how small and great priced these speakers were - however, after 1 day there was a constant background ringing - no matter if music was playing or not - I literally had to unplug them for it to stop.Returning.

For nothing special cheap speakers these sound amazing. Not for use above a somewhat quiet use. Great for use at a office where loudness isn't an option.

The soldering on the ground wire was broke inside when I opened the product. Luckily for me, I had access to equipment to fix it, as well as soldering experience, but I shouldn't have to fix a brand new product.

connected as per instructions, and the sound is worse that head phone sound, would send back but box was thrown away before testing them out
