The product picture shows a solid rim hood. The single one in this series is a solid hood. This one has a none flush fitting male one inch smaller hood. Meant for a large ten inch hole

We hung this in a foyer over a stair case. It is beautiful. You can customize the length of each of the lamps for a perfect fit for your space. Partially due to where we were hanging this light, it was a tricky installation. You will also have to do some figuring for the length of each light. That being said it does look gorgeous. Such an improvement from the ugly light we had before. Be careful to nit over tighten the screw that hold the glass "globes" on because you can crack them : (

not like in the picture
In real life it does not look as in the picture. The white pendants are all clustered together with only about 1 inch space between them, not like in the picture. It does not look nice! Would not buy again

simple elegance
This lighting was even more beautiful than the on line view. I can only describe it as simple elegance. It looked more expensive than it actually cost. Installation was simple and easy. I love it. I have received countless compliments on how it enhances the decor of my dining area.
