Useful and calming book for homeschoolers hitting the dreaded high school years
I love these little coffee break books. They're short enough to read in read in half and hour or so, but full of great information. This book has lots of practical advice on the mechanics of homeschooling your 9th & 10th grader as well as words of wisdom to help navigate unfamiliar waters. I was particularly impressed with the information on testing, which is such a huge part of the education business, but not necessarily in a homeschooler's experience. Lee's advice has taken me from frantic and panicked to pretty sure I can do this.

Another great gem from Lee...
Where were these little gems when I was homeschooling my other three children! This book gets straight to the point of what is needed for your first two years of high school. Even better than that, this book has nuggets of wisdom which ease a harried parent's fears. I am now looking forward to homeschooling my last child through high school without fear. I know that I can do it, and most of all, that I don't have to worry so much about getting it all done to my standard of perfection! My homeschool is good enough! :)

For the Regular Homeschooler
I believe Lee's work is great and there is a lot of great information in this book. I agree with keeping good records even though I have not been good at it myself. For my teens, to push academics as suggested shuts them down entirely. I have to be creative in others means. I believe every home and every child unique so a parent has to be wise and in tune to know what is best in the homeschooling path whether that is the traditional prep for college path or not. I do appreciate the authors sharing of what has worked for her as well as for others.

Great for new homeschoolers
If you've been homeschooling and have already looked in to your state's grad requirements, etc. you probably already know most of this. I was hoping for some specifics. If you are just starting to homeschool and high school is looming, this is like sitting down with an experienced friend and getting a GENERAL idea of what you need to do.

Wonderful resource.
This quick little book was great! It was very helpful when planning high school English courses for our oldest. It is a resource I will be coming back to over and over again. Wonderful tips in an easy to read format.

Readable, encouraging help for high school "rookies"
When I finished Lee's book, I was disappointed...not with the content, but with the fact that there wasn't more! I'm planning to read more of her helpful "nuggets" as I prepare for my son's freshman year. Thanks, Lee, for being my "you-can-do-it" cheerleader!

Another great one
Another great coffee beak book by Lee! I have a collection of these books and each one gives just the right amount of information on the topic at hand to help ease my fears of homeschooling high school! We just finished my sons freshman year, and I am encouraged to read that I didn't miss anything! The testing info in this book is just what I needed to help prepare for sophomore year! Thanks again for these awesome books!
