Nice candles. Waxy coating makes them feel real. The light is consistent and not too bright. You can set them to turn on for four or eight hours. They take two AA batteries each. My only complaint is with the packaging. The candles are shipped encased in styrofoam. I HATE this stuff because bits of it get everywhere and it sticks in your candle. I used canned air to spray it loose, but surely bubble-wrap would work just as well, and be a bit more Eco-friendly.***Update after several years***Candles still going strong. I have them running every night for four hours and I am still getting a nice consistent light from them. I do wish the batteries would last longer as they start to dim after using them for a few weeks on fresh batteries.

These were the only flameless candles I could find in this size, & the fact that they are real wax & have a 4 or 8 hour timer were added plusses. The only disappointment is that there is a slight color difference in the "flames" - one is a brighter orange than the other. They are used in individual sconces on either side of a piece of artwork, about 2 feet apart, so the difference is a bit less noticeable. Do not recommend using rechargeable batteries in these. Had much better results using regular AA's. They were well-packaged & arrived in perfect shape within the time frame specified by Amazon.

I bought these candles for a set of wall sconces in my home. I needed a narrow pillar, and these fit perfectly. The light from the LED is a soft amber color that is just lovely, with just enough flickering to look a lot like a natural candle. It may not fool people 100% of the time, but it is very attractive in the hallway where I wanted some light in the evenings without having to put in a new electrical fixture. I am using rechargeable batteries with no problem. I would recommend these very highly.

I use these candles in my dining room. They are so easy to use and look just like the real thing. I get so many compliments and questions about how they work and where I got them. I'm so happy with this purchase you will be too.

The color that was described was not, in my opinion, the same as the actual color. Operationally, the candles are great, but what is described as ivory is about the same color as the above stars. I have never seen an elephant with gold tusks!

They look great but these things devour batteries and one if the battery doors cracked off.

I love the way the candles turn on and off automatically every night at the same time. I wish the artificial flame didn't look so yellow -- doesn't look much like a real candle

I had to find smaller pillar candle for a sconce that I had bought from here. These are perfect. "Burn" an amber color, look really nice when on.
