Just okay
Great design and easy function. However, I have gone through three of these. The buttons are waterproof but easy to dislodge and become unusable. The white LED versions have very inconsistent colors (white to off-white). The red lights are much more uniform. The mounting design is excellent.

For being seen only.
This light would work for someone who is commuting in the city and needs a light every night. I ride in the countryside where there is no light and this light is not bright enough unless you crawl along at about walking speed. The second part, riding every night, is because the battery needs regular discharge and there is a process that discharges it if you are going to leave the light without use for any length of time. If you don't discharge the battery it could become damaged. The rub with discharging the light is that you hold the button down for 5 seconds and it does its discharge. This is too much like turning the light on for me, so when I needed the light one night it worked for a minute or two but was discharged from a time I held the button down too long trying to turn it on. Lucky I had a better back up light or I would have rode home in the dark. I returned the item, but regular city riders might find this light works for them.

great quality.
great quality......the light seems extremely well built and thought through. yes the band may wear out but is easily replaced and attachment is super slick. the usb charging port seems easy and super sleek. i was looking for a front light/flasher that i can switch between bikes that is super brite and sleek. this fits the bill perfectly.. not for lighting the road on pitch black mornings but perfect for grab and go when you need to be noticed by on coming traffic, up to the fit/form factor of my various bicycles which is important if like me, you put alot of emphasis on having fine equipment to tool around on.

Mounts by glorified rubber band, broken in less than 2 months
Save your money. This thing has the lamest excuse for a mounting system on any light ever. The rubber which wraps around your bar is integral to the light body, and it doesn't last. Not for more than 8 bike rides and I think about six weeks. Then it snaps. An utterly pathetic piece of complete junk.

"Obnoxiously Bright"
This little light is terrific! The first night I owned it, I only needed to charge it for 90 minutes. I went to get some breakfast at 4:30AM. EVERY street sign was lit up like the sun. I used it for hours without the light losing any brightness. The only thing that I don't like about this device is the USB charging plug. It feels like it could easily break. By that, I mean that the light is made to mount directly to a computers USB port and I don't think that it is load-bearing. I have a USB extension cable that I'll use to charge it.I will probably purchase a similar Knog Blinder taillight in the near future.

Expensive, Very Bright Lights. Very Dull Minds Behind The Fastener. Need Regular Recharging Which Will Tax The Rubber Bands
Great, bright lights in a very small box (two actually, as they're sold in a pair). The fasteners are the worst I've ever seen, the sort one would generally blame on China. The first week the rubber straps on one broke, in the second the metal clip came loose and disappeared. Fortunately for me, and maybe it's because I bought them with a Brompton, my bike shop offered to exchange them for something else and that's what I'm going to do this weekend. As others have noted, the main component of the fastener is a very elastic piece of rubber, attached to the light. It seems great, it's certainly flexible, but it really is no more durable than a rubber band. The aluminum clip isn't terribly well fastened to the light either, which accounts for one breaking and the other falling off.It takes about four hours to fully charge the lights and they seem to last about a week or so (my commute is 30 minutes 7 times a week, or about 3.5 hours total), I've taking to charging them once a week. This would have been fine if the fasteners had been more imaginative and durable, but since that's what failed first, I'd rather just go battery. And again, all of this lunacy for lights that aren't "you get what you paid for" Made In China crap: These are pricey little buggers, about four pints worth!

excellent
This light is super bright, offers intermittent/pattern options and the battery lasts a long time, unlike the Knog rear light (red casing). Great light for bike riders.

Lovely light, shame about the fragility of the clasp
Great lights but be careful with the clasp as the rubber will tear if treated carelessly.
