All around best purchase purchase,
Everything is above my head as a petite lady and with the passing of my husband I found it necessary to find something that would assist me in staying in our home. This small step stool does just that. It is lightweight and folds flat easily with a pull on the lever at the top. This allows it to be placed anywhere that is convenient for me. I have a multi-level home and it is so easy for me to carry this step stool up and down my steps. The leg ends are of a hard plastic material which causes me to be cautious on my tiled kitchen floor. So far I have not had any slippage problem with the step stool. However I would not recommend using it on a wet surface. Nor is it safe for stretching across, or up on toes to help in reaching anything. I learned this when I was reaching across my kitchen counter sink in order to remove a window screen for cleaning. The stool wanted to move on me due to it's light weight. I then took the time to adjust the stool position and I had no further problems. I know I have said a lot but I felt if you were taking the time to read this, then I wanted to be as helpful as possible.

NOT 3.6 pounds, it is apporx. 7 pounds
"Technical Details" says: "Item Weight 3.6 pounds" It is not, it weighs about 7 pounds. I do love this stool. I use it for stepping into the camper on the back of my F-250 Truck. It is easy to use, to step up, and the handle is significantly shorter than the door -- which is where all other step stools fall short, the door hits the handle either on the flat, or when there is a slight rise to the ground where I park. Or the steps are too low. (My opinions, *mine*) 7 pounds (not 3.6) is very light and it is easy to pick up and put into the camper before shutting the camper's door (also easy to take out). Easy to fold/unfold, though I almost always leave it up. When set up the top of the handle is about 28" above the ground, the top step is about 17" above the ground, it is 17+" wide, 15" deep (front of front feet to back of back feet). This one is 7 pounds, previous one was 8 pounds, (stated 3.6 pounds made me think that this was the wrong stool). Most measurements were on a several year old 11-135-CLGG -- the latest I ordered was ...CLGG4 through the "Technical Details" was 11135CLGG1. What I received was my good old 11-135-CLGG. Oh well... Oh yes, the round handle is much more comfortable than a square one. CONS: When I back over it, it deforms and after a few times, it breaks! Terrible!!! :-)

Stop looking - you’ve found the perfect step stool!
Behold, the Cosco Two Step Household Folding Step Stool: Proof that sometimes, it’s the humble things in life that make us feel most accomplished. As I unfolded it for the first time, there wasn’t any dramatic creaking or the feeling of impending doom you sometimes get with lesser step stools. No, this thing was all business - taking my step-stool experience to the next level with one simple, easy, quiet touch of an ergonomically-placed button. Suddenly, those high-up shelves and lofty kitchen cabinets weren't the unreachable fortresses they once were. With two steps, I was granted the elevation of a slightly taller individual – a temporary promotion, if you will. And when its job was done? It folded away discreetly, no fuss, no theatrics, like a butler exiting a room. In a world filled with complexity, who knew that a couple of well-constructed steps could provide such a heady sense of accomplishment? Here's to you, Cosco, for reminding me that life is short, but I don't have to be.

Perfect for every day task
I absolutely love this Cosco 2-Step Folding Step Stool! As someone who's not very tall, it’s been a game-changer for reaching high shelves in the kitchen and closet. The stool is super sturdy, yet lightweight, and folds up easily for storage. The rubber steps make it safe and non-slip, and I feel confident using it. It’s just the right height, and I love how simple it is to open and fold away. Highly recommend if you need a reliable step stool around the house!

Still works great, 13 years later
Believe it or not, I bought this in 2011 from Amazon, for like 20 bucks. I was moving into my first home, and a step stool is a game changer for us "vertically challenged" individuals. Probably the most high quality purchase I have ever made. Even though my weight has fluctuated and I have gotten older, I've had zero problems with it. Easy to open, super stable, and it's just plain handy to have around. Probably the best purchase ever made from Amazon. It cost twice as much now, but it's really one of those you get what you pay for deals. It'll probably last you your lifetime like it does me.

Senior citizen; purchased item in 2017.
It’s now 2023 and after 6 years and 3 moves, this stool continues to work as well as when it was new for myself and others in the family. I’m a senior, and still plenty mobile so the step stool has gotten a lot of use. I especially appreciate the design of the top bar — climbing up, I keep a hand on it to steady myself as needed. Standing on the top step, I use that top bar to brace against with my shins which adds a reassuring measure of stability. When it’s time to climb down, a hand on the top bar again steadies me. This 2-step stool is the perfect height for any tasks that are a foot or more below my 8-foot ceiling: changing bulbs, hanging pics, cleaning tops of windows and mirrors. At no time has the stool ever felt in danger of tipping and it remains as easy as ever to open and re-fold to its slim profile, so it’s easy to store. For context, users in our home are approx 5’ - 5’6” and weigh 140 - 170 lb. Additional note: you may be familiar with those thick white folding plastic stools. We’ve had one for years and while they aren’t quite as tall, they are equally sturdy. However, as a person with occasional balance issues, I’ve found this Cosco stool to be a much MUCH better choice for me.

Sturdy & Safe
I'm tall and never thought I would need a step stool. But as I've gotten older, the idea of standing on a chair to reach something doesn't seem wise. I got this and I use it pretty often. It is sturdy, safe, and compact. It give me just enough "lift" to reach things I can't get on my own.

Step Stool, my 3rd child
Step Stool is not just an item or thing in my house, she is a family member. We don't refer to her as "the step stool" or "a step stool" or god forbid "it", but "Step Stool". Let me tell you about her role in the family. She makes my daughter taller, enabling the kid to actually be useful in the kitchen. She plays jokes on us, sometimes hiding in different places because she's so easy to fold up and put away. The kid has been able to pick up Step Stool and move and unfold her to where she wants since age 3. Although folding her back up is still challenging at 4.5. Seriously, Step Stool is like a friend to my daughter. I've never understood the point of those giant learning towers or whatever they're called. If a kid falls off step stool they're not going to be that hurt. I like knowing that Step Stool will always be there for is. She's will built and we're not going to get tired of having her around. Thanks for everything Step Stool.

Great step stool
Indispensable aid in my daily chores, to reach into cupboards, dust ceiling fixture...stores flat against the wall, out of the way, is easy to unfold, lightweight, very sturdy.

Great little step tool
Just what I wanted. Small, lightweight and sturdy. It didn't have the anti-slip pads so I just bought them from Bunnings and applied.

Sturdy and easy to fold
So happy I bought this. I have used this almost everyday since I got it. It's very sturdy and helps me get to those up high cupboards that I couldn't easily get to before. Very easy to fold and very easy to move around.

Ligera y funcional
