I love this book it has helped me through some challenging painting.

This is a fantastic book for the amateur Painter. I am a self taught painter and this book has really helped me improve my painting ability.

Jerry explains the process of painting well. When an artist "blocks" in areas on the canvas it looks messy or "off" but his step by step explanation walks you through the entire process. The highlights really do make the painting. To quote Jerry "the last thing you paint is the first thing others see".

Really love Jerry Yarnell's paintings. I find his books as good as his courses. Even though do the classes I like the books as a good reference

This book is not just about how to paint trees or rocks.He starts with specific advice on paints and other materials and tools.He really gives you everything he has - no secrets held back.He's done a lot of painting - and it shows.

It arrived in perfect condition even though it was used. Very pleased with book.
