Simple, Beautiful, Informative
I love this book! This is one of my first Wayne Dyer books. I'd previously read a couple of chapters of another bookm but I'm not sure which one it was. I was incredibly impressed by this book. It's a book that says the same thing as many other books, but yet it's powerful, simple, and well put together. I assumed that because it was talking about the nature of thoughts and reality that it would be like many books that I have read. While it is conveying a similar message, the execution is superb. The tone is warm and inviting and non-judgmental.Effortlessly, it takes away arguments for negative thinking. You feel the connection to the basic principles of the universe: beauty, kindness, love, expansion... After reading it, I went out and passed on a powerful, loving affirmation to everyone I could and I was touched by the results. It reminded me of how we truly are all connected and how God works through you every day to affect those around you and most of the time you don't even know it. It also showed me how people's energy can change when you direct loving energy towards them. Many people are really touched by kindness and love and share things with you that you never would have known. It's like the world just opens up!I highly recommend this book. The Power of Intention is easy to follow and speaks to the heart (from the heart). It doesn't assume that you preposses a certain spiritual understanding as some books do. Wherever you are, exactly where you are, is just perfect for picking up this book. If you can read at the 6th or 7th grade level you can benefit so much from this book! And if you are a PhD from Harvard or Yale, you can benefit from it too!

Know God and get control of your life
There are many good things I learned and can say about the Power of Intention. First, and most important to me, was to separate myself from ego and to see past the superficial and easily observable, to the things that define life itself. From the simple such as a tree with its branches, bark, and leaves to how it absorbs water, nourishment and sun as it grows bigger every day. Then to the acorn, or pinecone, and etcetera and from that seed comes another tree exactly like that from which it fell. How does that work? To the very complex man and woman. How did we really come into existence and why do we have capabilities far beyond any other living form on earth. My conclusion, there is a God that created us in his likeness and He did so with intentions that we would be kind, know love, see beauty, and have creativity to turn the unseen into reality. I love this book because it changed my life. I can't say that you will see the same message I saw and change your life. I can say I have never been happier in my life then I am now because I see all of life and our connections, but most of all I see men and women as loving and caring with parents, children, friends and relatives, each with their capabilities, story and desire to be an individual, as well as being part of a universe and eternal life. I wish you the best.

I found this to be powerful
In some ways this is a rehashing of his earlier books, and yet for me it resonated much more deeply than his earlier books. I keep it in my nightstand and reread it often.

worth the read
I liked this book a lot. I felt that it was more than a little redundant, though. It could have easily been a shorter book.

Rise above the Ego
I read each and every one of the reviews on this book, and detect an underlying defense mechanism being sprung by those who gave this book a bad review. From misspelling the author's name, to endless Biblical quotes from those too fearful (or myopic) to envision any other kind of spirituality than their own, the ego is speaking in these people. You are the ones who need to reread this book!I have been reading Dr. Dyer's works since my teens, and there have been books I have liked, and those I could do without. It seems like those who dismiss his works as New Age Trash are those who probably need the most work on their inner realms. Yes, the terminology is different than a Jude Devereaux novel, and you won't read much about these things in your local newspaper. But that doesn't mean that Dr Dyer's premise of living a life of love, forgiveness and gentle kindness doesn't deliver the truth. He quotes Jesus as well as other prophets with nothing but reverence and respect. Sages have come in all shapes and sizes, and from various parts of the world. ("And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold" John 10:16).For those who have read Dr. Dyer's works before, The Power of Intention is one of his most succinct, value-rich and life-changing works yet. He FINALLY got me to meditate on a regular basis (call it prayer for you die-hard can't-see-another's-point-of-view Christians), and I DID manifest those things in my life that I had been desiring for years. Through careful, focused thought, you can change your own world, all the while giving back to it in equal or greater quantities. That, in EVERY religion, is how the world works.Remember, people, that we are only humans, and not one of us is perfect. To dismiss another's views as garbage is only defining yourself. Remember what those unwilling to listen did to Jesus, to Martin Luther King, to Gandhi, to all those who dared speak out against the common beliefs of their times. And look where their words have taken us now.

One of my favorite books
Without a doubt this is one of the best spiritual books I've read. I'm going to reread it multiple times, for sure. It contains so much wisdom, constant reminders of the importance of having a proper, positive perception on life and saying 'yes' to it, and the importance of letting go of the negativity inside of us. I highly recommend the book Power vs Force which is mentioned multiple times, as well.
