Bigger is better
I purchased these Wix oil filters based on positive comments found on several technical forums. These are competitively priced, and more importantly, they can be delivered to my door! My only misgiving about the filter is that the outside diameter is slightly larger than other brands. This larger size made it impossible to install until I relocated the oil pressure sending unit.

Well made, for now.
This oil filter is from a longtime brand that has been superior to most others. But we are concerned that Wix as a company has been purchased by a cut-rate corporation (Mann-Hummel) that may soon find ways to reduce quality for bigger profit. For now, the construction of this filter is as we expected. Good gasket, solid, well-formed seams; the inside filter screen shows no manufacturing problems. Not yet threaded on. If no problems, consider the threads accurate, with no burrs or unusual friction.

Still Made in USA
So far these are still Made in USA. I’ve used them for years on a classic car and they’ve been perfect!
