Perfect replacement part.
My Atlas jackplate just stopped working suddenly on my 2011 Sea Hunt. It wouldnt go up OR down. Called the dealer and they said it was the actuator / motor. They told me that it was all one piece and had to be replaced as such. It was a $999 part. I came home and did some research and that is DEFINITELY not true. I found this motor and it is a DIRECT replacement part. It took me 30 minutes tops and cost me $160 bucks. The motor is held onto the actuator with two simple bolts. To fix, unscrew the two bolts at the bottom of actuator motor. Tilt actuator motor back and forth to break the vacuum. Then lift off and remove. Line up the blade on the lower end of new motor so it lines up with the internal actuator screw. Insert, and replace screws and tighten. It was LITERALLY that easy. The really interesting part of all this, is that i got curious on why my old one failed. I opened the top of the old motor (the two bolts at top), lifted off the cap and under the cap there are two contacts that are spring loaded that go around the magento or whatever it is in inside the motor. Those springs were rotted and completed rusted out. I went into MacGyver mode....and took the spring out of a ball point pen. Cut it in half and slid it behind both contacts. Put the cap back on the motor and attached to 12V. To my surprise the motor ran again flawlessly. Ill be keeping that old one as a back up.

Good fit
Motor fit well with no modifications needed. Wire harness was sufficient in length for an easy install. Polarity was backwards for my application which was an easy fix, just needed to swap wires which ended up wiring green with blue and vice versa. Suggest connecting with wire nuts and checking operation prior to installing waterproof crimp connectors.

Simple install
Simple install. removed the two bolts, exact fit replacement, put the two bolts back. Only issue I have is the wire connections are different. I may have bought the wrong one, don't think so. I cut the connectors off the old one and spliced onto the new wires.

Spot on
The jack plate motor was a perfect match, so thankful for company's that put out after market products like this considering a new factory one cost $260 more and both products are made the same quality

Minor grinding needed for final fitup
Forward mounting hole was not aligned with original mounting holes. Had to grind out to make it fit. Shaft was about 1mm too large to fit into coupling, slight grinding needed for fit. Once these mods complete it slipped right into place and renewed my atlas jack plate on a skeeter 2250zx with Yamaha 250. Hoping the motor casing is aluminum as I only fish saltwater. Overall pleased and couldn’t find the replacement motor anywhere else for the price. Will provide follow up if corrosion or water intrusion becomes an issue.
