you'll find that the light as absolutely pathetic. It hardly gives off enough light to even ...
- Installation - the light that comes with the flares needs to be wired up. Normally not a big deal, but the people at Xenon elected to have the customer disassemble the light housing and install a ground wire (inside the lens). So you need to take the light apart, go find some wire (not provided) crimp on an eyelet connector (not provided) and screw it into the backing plate. All in all, not a big problem if you have the stuff laying around, but I was a little ticked that I'd just spent $400 on flares they couldn't complete this step for me. After all that you splice into your factory wires to hook it up...they don't tell you which is a ground and which is hot, you have to go find that for yourself.- Installation (again) - the holes on the light backing aren't pre-drilled. Similarly the holes where the light mounts to the flare isn't pre-drilled. Again, $400...maybe they should do this at the factory.- Once you're all done and it's time to test out your light, you'll find that the light as absolutely pathetic. It hardly gives off enough light to even serve as a blinker.- On another note the jeep yj use two separate wires, one for the running lights and one for the turn signal. The light that comes with the flares only has one wire for either one or the other, so you have to choose which one you want.- The light hole is not pre-drilled to allow you to run the wires through so you can keep them tucked out the the way.- And what is that big chunk of plastic you have to add to the front fenders? You couldn't just make them a little stronger from the start? Then you have to add bolts to hold it up. They do line up with the factory holes but you will have to drill them out to allow for the 1/4 bolts to fit.- Also you have to use your old fender flare hardware to re-install these. Now you would think that new flares would come with new hardware. However they do look good after you get through the install

Prep your paint job...
Nice flare set.Light mounting needs improved or at least predrilled.Someone was complaining about "wrong wiring"That's not true. These are the same bulbs and wiring as the factory lights. Just a smaller housing

Great Product !
I just installed these and they were pretty easy and they look great. Great solid construction and look nice right out of the box.I had to do some minimal drilling as a couple of holes didn't quite match up, but it was no big deal and doesn't compromise anything on the jeep itself.A little wiring is also required(Clear instructions are included), and you will need to buy the bulk of the fastening bolts. I think I bought about 30 Stainless Steel 1/4" bolts(1" long), nuts, and washers for about $10 at my local hardware store. Other than that...Well worth the money and I strongly recommend these flares to anyone looking for that flat look.I hope this helps anyone who is trying to decide on a product to go with. There were very few reviews on all the flares I was considering buying, except a few very negative ones on some other brands..it was enough to steer me in this direction and I am pleased. My Jeep is a 95 Wrangler btw.
